Rental properties can feel like a gamble sometimes with mattress quality, but the owners of the Spofford Lodge spared no expense to furnish their rooms with high quality items. « We had a good stay at this property. House was generally clean but in need of updates and TLC. New mattresses would be good. Property is definitely off the beaten path which was a little hard to find after dark when we arrived. We did see deer eating apples from the tree each morning which was great. It is a beautiful house, nicely decorated with comfortable furniture - perfect for relaxing and visiting. « This old house was amazing! Plenty of room for the 21 of us. Such unique interior design, I think we counted 68 doors on the interior! The kitchen looked small from the pictures but there is an over abundance of storage areas. Probably the best stocked I have ever had in a vacation rental. Easy to get to Acadia too! »
