This is a very cute and authentic log cabin on private property. It is located in an area with a rich cultural history. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and the host maintained great communication and was extremely accommodating. We had a great time!
Itâs a very nice place to relax and enjoy, beds were comfortable, lots of shade, favorite place was the back porch. In between two vacationerâs dream towns. Nice little corner restaurant and store about a mile away. Just perfect with nature.
We live in Cumming but this was my Sonâs Wedding weekend. And we needed to be close to Wolf Mountain Winery. For all of the pre-wedding & weddings festivities. This cabin was absolutely beautiful. I have never seen anything like it before. We absolutely loved it. We just wish we would have been able to spend more time in it. I would love to stay again. The pictures do not do the cabin justice. There is a huge screened in porch. And a very nice outside area with a fire pit. And a covered pull through or parking at the side door to the screened in piece. This cabin was very rustic. Beautiful and so much space. I highly recommend this cabin. And the host was amazing. And always responded back quickly.
Heaven! Absolutely a divine, cozy, very happy place to be. An entrance sign reads âHappiness begins hereâ and it is so fitting. It was a trip back in time with energy that did make you happy. Itâs the simple things that matter. We foraged, painted, lounged, read, cooked meals made for queens with very simple ingredients. It was very lovely. I found my forever happy place and will visit as long as Iâm living and available. I wanted to decorate and we did decorate while we were there. This Porter Springs Farm cabin is very special. It is my new happy place! See you soon!
The house and property is beautiful as well as the entire city. Its super close to walmart of you need anything. It is also decently secluded so you can enjoy your time in peace.
Rustic but great log cabin in the woods. Large property. Google the address and not what links on the booking site. Great kitchen large dining table expansive back screened porch. I brought a truck and electric car both were fine on the gravel driveway. We will return for a getaway in the mountains.
Overall the cabin was exactly as advertised. We had a few hiccups upon check-in. The cleaning crew left all the dirty dishes in the sink that we had to wash. The power had gone out and we had to turn the breakers back on because the repair company didnât. The owner apologized for the multiple inconveniences, but did not offer any sort of reimbursement or partial credit for the trouble. I would have at least offer a gift card for a dinner out on them. We did love the location The swing and the porch were amazing and the historical furnishings were wonderful. Would stay again! and the
This cabin was like staying in a museum! The decor is absolutely perfect for a farm house. Tons of antiques and character. The location was perfect for the right amount of getaway but still close to town.
We were blown away by this property! We came up to experience a Dahlonega Christmas for the first time and were not disappointed. The cabin was only 15 mins from downtown and literally looked like it was out of a hallmark movieâespecially decorated for Christmas. Hosts were super responsive about everything. We canât wait to visit in the summer!
9 miles from Dahlonega, in a quiet little neck of the woods, sits a pre-civil war cabin that will take you back in time.
If you're looking for peace and quiet this is the place to stay. We absolutely loved it.
Whether it was playing Monopoly with the grandkids or sitting at the patio table in the sun watching the cows eat the grass. It was peaceful.
The cabin has all the amenities you need. If your looking for a spotless home, remember, this cabin was built back in the 1800's.
It was nice to walk in and see the Christmas decorations! We would stay there again.
The property was just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and celebrate our friendâs birthday. The property was clean
I rented this cabin as a quiet place to work on some artwork for Christmas. Everything was as expected. It was just me and my Maltese, and we enjoyed the spacious, quiet cabin. The pre-civil war history is interesting, too. I would return with a large group or family.
On a last minute trip to the North Georgia mountains we found this quirky wonderful log cabin. We found it to be very comfortable, clean and spacious. Loved all the beautiful antiques! Our host Jodi was quick to answer any questions prior to our arrival, we would definitely come back.
We had a wonderful time at this historic cabin. There was plenty of space for five adults and two small children to spread out and enjoy our time together. The house the conveniently located to nearby attractions, but still keeps the tucked away cabin-in-the-woods feeling. The house was well equipped with basics and the owners were quick to respond when we had questions. Overall, a fantastic stay!
What a lovely few days at the cabin. Itâs a truly rustic and secluded getaway free from the distractions of everyday life. Would happily return again!
My husband and I spent a wonderful Labor Day weekend at the property, accompanied by our two dogs. The cabin is masterfully mixing the very well-kept rustic origins and modern conveniences. Although it is close to the road, it feels very secluded and is very quiet. We loved to have our morning coffee on the screened porch while listening to the chirping birds. With the short drives to the Dahlonega downtown and local wineries, we had a great time and highly recommend this place for anybody who is looking for a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the modern city live.
Great, relaxing and very unique place to stay. The cabin allows you to stay in a piece of history. Owner's have done a good job with updated amenities without taking away from pioneer feel. Very well furnished with everything you need.
It was nothing like the description! The pictures online were extremely deceiving! When we walked in we knew instantly we couldn't stay there. It was very dirty, creepy, dingy and the musty smell was overwhelming! The owner only refunded us for one day, we booked for 5 and literally walked in and ou.
