This home is 2 levels with a bedroom and full bath on each. A wrap around deck is perfect for morning coffee , watching wildlife or your favorite evening cocktail. We have rented and stayed in VRBOs all over the country, from Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Michigan, Florida, Minnesota, Nebraska, New York, Virginia, and South Dakota. This property by far exceeded all the previous properties. The cleanliness of the property, the stocking of the kitchen, the hot tub, washer and dryer, soap included provided everything we needed. Add a basket full of snacks on the kitchen table to meet us, was the golden touch. The only thing we did not like was having to leave. I totally recommend this property if you have a desire to vacation in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Close to everything! Custer State Park, Needles Highway, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horsy, 1880's train, 1 hour from Deadwood and Lead, 2 minutes to downtown Custer, 15 minutes to Hill City and 20- 25 minutes to Keystone. Absolutley beautiful views from the deck off of the kitchen and living room, wildlife abounds, deer, turkey, birds and squirrels. It was so enjoyable setting on the deck with our morning coffee watching all the critters, amazing. Thank you Richard and Jovann for a wonderful stay!

What a gorgeous place! It was perfect for our family of 6…the kids loved having their own space downstairs! The hot tub was a perfect addition for the chilly evenings! The hosts were wonderful and quick to respond to our multiple inquiries.

Beautiful, modern cabin with lovely design details and unobstructed views of the Hills framed by tall pines. Perfect for two couples. As we visited in early September, we were continually drawn to reading or having a drink on the balcony, although the great views continued from inside. A soak in the hot tub after a hike was restorative. Much appreciated were high quality touches in the kitchen like good knives, an expresso machine, kettle, etc. Hosts Richard and Jodi went above & beyond with a welcome charcuterie board and were so friendly and responsive, even helping us out at 7am the morning of checkout when our car battery died. Excellent location within a short drive to Custer State Park, restaurants and many sites. We stayed a week but would have enjoyed longer. Our only regret was not using the fire pit!

The property was very beautiful and well taken care of. The view you have from the deck is stunning! The house had everything we needed and more. The house was perfect for our family of five. We loved coming back home after a long day of exploring and use the hot tub to relax. We also did many fires at the nice fire pit with provided wood. House was very close to all the attractions. Great location! Check in was super easy. The full kitchen was stocked well and perfect for making our meals. Hosts were great! We’ll definitely be coming back :-)

Good place to stay! Very private, clean with comfortable beds, a fully stocked kitchen, and lots of games to play. The deck has a beautiful view! Custer is a few minutes away with lots of eating places and things to do. Would stay here again!

All as stated in description. Extras included Nespresso and pods, and a great fire pit with a magnificent view of Black Hills. What a great place to use as you navigate the country and come home each night for peace and quiet…even though the bike rally was going on. The beds were very comfy as well! We did not use the garage, but the owner provided code just in case. Custer is a great central location.Thanks for letting us stay with you!

This home was the perfect location for exploring the Black Hills. Only 5 minutes to Crazy Horse memorial. A mile out of Custer, for anything you might need. The home is beautiful and has the most amazing views. The beds are very comfortable I would highly recommend!

Beautiful Custer Home!

We stayed at this beautiful home with 4 adults for a week! Loved it all!! We truly enjoyed the split upper/ lower areas for the 2 couples, the decks, open kitchen and fire pit ( also a hot tub which only 1 used) . Excellent hosts. Responses were very helpful and quick! We will return.

2 week Yellowstone-Black Hill SD vacation

This was a perfect home base for our time in the Black Hills of SD. Plenty of space for 2 couples. The cabin was stocked with everything (& then some) you needed. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub at the end of the day. The views and wildlife were amazing! Check in was easy and communication with the owner was quick. Would highly recommend this place.

Highlight of our trip

The house was even better than the pictures. The views were absolutely beautiful, the house was decorated like a magazine, and the owner seriously thought of everything to make our stay perfect. The high quality linens on the beds, the nespresso machine, all the beautiful furs and artwork, extra pillows and blankets, lots of different family games to play. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the serenity of being out in the hills. We saw lots of beautiful birds that we don’t see back home in MN. It was also perfect how it was just a quick drive to town and several attractions in the area. Our stay was absolutely perfect and I couldn’t have asked for more.

Great location and amazing views!

Check in was seamless - house was beautiful and cozy, our 4&6 yr old kids had a blast. We loved getting in the hot tub after a busy day and making smores and hot dogs over the fire. Amazing views! We saw lots of deer and bunnies, and the kids loved watching all the birds. Had to ask a quick question and the host got back to me within minutes. Location is great, close to everything. 10/10 experience, would recommend highly!

Perfect Place

This place was exactly as listed. If you are visiting the Black Hills and want a sort of woodsy Black Hills Vibe, it is perfect. Many things to make your stay more easy and enjoyable. Grill, great deck to sit and look out at the beautiful view. The owners put together a packet of good restaurants, things to do. It's clear they have invested their time into their VRBO to make it as enjoyable as possible for the guests. We used the hot tub, it was great.
