We enjoyed our stay. It was clean and had everything we needed. The outdoor bathroom was a bonus. Our grandkids enjoyed the game room/Florida room. We also enjoyed the screened in porch. We also made use of the outdoor kitchen. The outdoor living overall was great. We made use of the kayaks, the fishing gear and the crabbing gear. It was private and quiet, making it a peaceful place to relax. It was a great representation of living in the bayou area. There were two great restaurants nearby and many activities also close by. We really enjoyed the Ozello Air Boat tour. Clara and David's pride of ownership and attention to detail made it an enjoyable experience and made it feel like home.

Clara was sweet and quick to any question i had. The home was very clean and felt comfy and cozy a home away from home feel. We enjoyed every bit of the back yard , we like to explore. We went on a kayak paddle, and my son enjoyed catching fish at the point. We love this place , want to come back soon.

We really enjoyed this quaint nature filled relaxation spot. It is a good place to relax after spending the day on the water. My family likes to explore so I think next time we will choose a cooler month. Also, for people that would like to book bug spray is a necessity. We kayaked and canoed the canal which was interesting. There were mullet and crabs. All in all , we enjoyed our short stay.Thank you to the hosts that were readily available to solve any problems that arose. Thank you for sharing your space!

Beautiful old Florida experience

Beautiful property surrounded by water with lots of trees. Fully appointed outdoor kitchen and 2 fire pits. Home has everything you need and beds were very comfortable. Bathroom had a nice shower. AC units in each room keep it cool. Loved the outdoor shower, games in the game room and all the outdoor porches to sit and enjoy the beautiful mornings. Enjoyed the out doors dining room. Kitchen was spacious and fully functional. Our only suggestion is that the gate lock should be a little more user friendly because upon arrival in the evening with the mosquitoes it was a little stressful, however, Clara answered our call and helped us right away.

Top Notch Ammenities!

This property comes with everything you could want in a secluded, quiet vacation property with room to breathe. The owners have thought of, and provided, just about anything you could want. The kayaks/canoes are top quality. Fishing rod and all equipment provided, including an anchor. Great air conditioning. The private dock on the canal is a lovely spot to birdwatch or just watch nature pass by and fish. Kitchen is stocked with TONS of equipment/extras. The complimentary sunscreen/bug spray was HUGE to get us by before we were able to buy some of our own, since we couldn't bring our own on the flight. Very prompt response from the owner when I had a very small issue that was no fault of theirs or the property, which occurred late in the evening. Kindly helped us resolve it in less than a minute. We enjoyed the space for a couple's get away and it was wonderful, but there was plenty more room. I could imagine this to be a wonderful place for a friends getaway or double couples retreat! The game room and its MANY games leaves *so much room for activities!* TDLR: Nature, kayaking, birding, and fishing enthusiasts: If you want a beautiful, quiet, secluded, and comfortable property that is thoughtfully and totally stocked with amenities, this clean spot is the one for you.

Dream vacation

Wow where to begin. This place is very private. Exceptionally clean. Has all the supplies you need and ones you didn’t know you needed. The place is just beautiful. Everything is high quality from the kitchen appliances to the kayaks. The birds sang a symphony every morning for me. There is a nice place to sit and have a fire in the fire pit. At the point there is excellent fishing a hungry spot for catching fish. We caught red fish and catfish and they were all keepers. We cooked up the 2 redfish and they are really good eating. She even has crab traps to try. You can kayak to your heart’s content. There is so many places to explore right there at the place. She has great cellphones reception and big tv’s to watch with free Netflix and lots more. The airconditioner worked great. This place is the best place we have stayed in a verbo also the best area as well. She has 2 beds one is softer than the other so which ever you like she has it. Great communication and keeping us informed. Really easy to find the place. My only suggestion is you must try to go to silver springs through discovery kayak. We saw monkeys manatees alligators and lots of birds. That was awesome. Wouldn’t recommend the airport trip we took definitely not worth the money at all. We will be back next year and hopefully every year back to this place and stay here. We just loved it here so much. It was very hard for us to leave to do an excursion because there was so much to do here with the fishing and lots.

Labor Day Getaway

Awesome long weekend getaway. No issues whatsoever with any part of our trip, from communication to the property itself. Even better in person than in pictures. Very clean, great amenities and plenty of things to do in the area. Looking forward to visiting again. Thank you guys for having us. Hands down 10 out of 10.

We were looking for a quiet get away for a few days and the Driftwood Cottage was the perfect pick. Clara was very quick to respond to my messages. The property was clean and everything we needed. A hidden gem!

Refreshing retreat

This was such a nice quiet hideaway after our busy weekend at the beach. Clara was very thoughtful and provided all things needed to enjoy the wonderful nature that crystal river offers. The house was beautifully decorated and clean. The kayaks and canoes were easily accessible with a private boat launch. The dock was used by the kiddos to cast a fishing line. Our youngest had a blast catching crabs and lizards. We didnt see any gators, but at night we could hear all the nature come to life. The busy city and beaches can be overstimulating, so this was a nice pause before we continued our adventures in Orlando. We hope to return in the near future and highly recommend this destination to those looking for the old Florida style feels.

The house was fantastic. It had wonderful amenities like kayaks and canoes. They also had a bumper pool table and ring catch that the boys enjoyed. It was a perfect spot for us. The home was very well-kept and super clean. We will absolutely be coming back. Trip gets an A+

Lovely Fishing Cottage

This property is private, serene, and offers convenient access to surrounding fishing. Our 14’ jon boat was a bit too big for the on property launch, but navigated the canals with ease. We launched at the nearby public boat ramp and moored to the dock at the property during our stay. The home was very comfortable and I particularly appreciated the well equipped kitchen. Thank you for creating the perfect space for a our weekend birthday getaway!
