About the home

“Home and Away in Cowes” is a delightful double-storey family home, ideally located in a quiet street in Cowes. Just a short walk from the north-facing beach, local cafés, restaurants, shops and the Recreation Reserve, it's the perfect base to leave the car behind and enjoy everything Cowes has to offer. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs, the spacious open-plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with a 75" Qled Smart TV, Chromecast/Apple TV & Netflix, plus a combination foosball, pool and table tennis table) flows seamlessly onto the covered rear Deck, creating a wonderful indoor/outdoor living space that's perfect for entertaining or relaxing with family and friends. Also on the ground floor is Bedroom 1, featuring a WIR, Ensuite (with shower & toilet), and direct access to a rear Deck. Also on this level is a second Bathroom (with shower) and a separate toilet for added convenience. The home also features a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine/dryer combo), offering both internal and external access for added convenience, plus direct access to the Garage.

Upstairs, you'll find Bedrooms 2 & 3 (each with BIR), a central Bathroom (with a bath & shower) a separate toilet and a generous second Living Room (with a 75" Smart TV, Chromecast/Apple TV & Netflix plus a selection of card & board games) that opens onto a private Balcony, providing an ideal retreat for guests or families wanting extra space.

Outdoor Areas

Upstairs, the private Balcony (with a sun lounge and coffee table) is accessed through the Living Room and/or Bedroom 3, and offers a peaceful spot to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind. Downstairs, the partially covered rear Deck (with a gas BBQ, outdoor dining setting, and large shade umbrella) overlooks the spacious, fully enclosed backyard, providing a wonderful space for entertaining or relaxing with family and friends. The enclosed rear yard provides plenty of space for children to play, there is a single Garage available for guest parking plus the driveway provides parking for up to 3 additional vehicles (cars and/or a boat), with additional street parking available.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso coffee pod machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and electric ceramic cooktop.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is ducted heating and cooling throughout the home, with ceiling fans in both Living Rooms and Bedrooms 1 and 3.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 7 beds and 2 sofa beds, accommodating up to 12 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Downstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Double bed, one set of Single bunks, and two Single trundle beds
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Queen bed

Please note: There are two Double sofa beds located in the Upstairs Living Room, each suitable for 1 adult or child.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
