Close In and Comfortable

This was our third stay at the property and we have enjoyed it each time. It is clean, comfortable for two couples and a child, dog friendly and close to the beach. I love that we can see the water from the deck and that the yard is carefully fenced and carpeted in St. Augustine without the plague of grass burrs, thus good for children’s small feet and furry dogs.The kitchen is well equipped and there is even a decent array of spices. It’s a great place to stay.

Location, Location, Location

This rental was perfect for us. First it is pet friendly. It is fenced and if you travel with your dog he will be secure as soon as you enter the property.Second, it if hard to fine a property with direct access to the beach. This rental is about fifty yards from the beach. It is near the pier and you can sit on the deck and watch ships arriving. If I ever return to Port A, I will stay here again.

Winter stay

Great Weekend!

We very much enjoyed Unit B and our weekend vacay. The house had everything and more that we needed. Even though we never had time to use the pool, it was beautiful and sparkling clean! Great convenient location to the beach and downtown. Rental pricing for this unit was much more reasonable than other places we have rented at Port A. Will definitely stay here again!.

Perfect for Pup’s First Beach Vaca

Loved the location, private fenced in yard with pool and no neighbors to speak of. Minor sound from construction going on but honestly not a problem. The beach was a block away and it was a short walk. So much so that I forgot the sunscreen and quickly walked back to grab it and was back on the beach in 15 minutes round trip. The home was clean as pictured. Master bedroom was spacious and had plenty of places to put luggage but no hangers. Water pressure in master shower was amazing. Hallway bathroom faucet had very low pressure so my quest kept using my bathroom to brush teeth and wash their face. Loved that the place had a spacious dining table, huge sofa and tons of games. Our puppy 9months old did very well with the gated downstairs pool and yard area. The dog also enjoyed being on the private patio in the morning as we watched the waves and scenery with our morning coffee. I will stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay with your dog or kids!

Best Beach House ever

Can’t say enough about how perfect this place was. The house has everything you need to have a family weekend kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook. And awesome long bench table to seat everyone. And of your vacationing with a pet it’s perfect. Everything gated and fenced backyard. The location can’t be beat a short walk to the Beach and pier and downtown restaurants. I met the owners super nice. Thanks for sharing your home

Great property

We loved it! Nothing negative for us, it was a great stay. Deck, pool, location and amenities were all perfect. I never found the laundry area but didn’t need it anyway. We would definitely stay again!

Great mini vacation!

We only stayed for 3 nights and the weather was cold And windy but we LOVED IT!! the location was perfect for walking on the beach (between raindrops) and the access to all restaurants was easy and quick. The house was all ours and perfect for what we needed, when we needed it. Thank you!

Fabulous property

Everything was perfect! Received numerous emails with all directions, door codes, property info, etc. Close to beach which was super nice and clean! We rented a golf cart to just goof off in and go down the beach. Such a fun time and definitely will be back!

Great location

Walk to the beach in 3 min, cool off in the pool afterward. Would recommend the A unit so elephants don't stomp around above you at 6am. We really enjoyed the B unit a lot until the elephants woke up in unit A at 6am on Saturday and Sunday.

Weekend for the Old Folks

We had never stayed this far down the island. We loved it! It was nice being so close to town and the Pier. Next time, we will try and reserve Unit A... The views from that deck was even better! A lovely home... very comfortable.

Clean and convenient

The property was very clean when we arrived. We really appreciate that! Being so close to the beach was amazing for the kids. The pool was also great! The only cons that I could mention about this property: - The view of the ocean is obstructed by a large hotel. - The pans, which were non-stick, had a lot of scrapes and scratches and some rust. We had every intention of cooking for our entire stay, but ended up eating out so that we didn't have to deal with that potential poison. Please replace these more often. - One roll of paper towels for 8 people on a 4 night/5 day stay... Isn't enough. It would be nice to. I generally wouldn't list any of these items as cons, and they certainly aren't show stoppers for us. However, for the price, I thought I should mention these small inconveniences. We will likely be back on our next stay in Port A!

Great Port A location!

Most everything was great. The location is awesome. Literally 1.5 - 2 blocks walk to beach & with a pool & fenced in backyard. Pool chilly as still early in season & Texas sun hasn't wamed it up quite yet. It is also super close to grocery, seafood market, restaurants, etc.! The home is a great layout & spacious. Internet & cable was great. Mostly well equipped. The items we were lacking were kitchen towels- there was only one! But plenty of bath linens. Much better selection of kitchen utensils, dishes, & pots than I have had in other rentals. There is a weirdness with the oven ...if you don't have the vent fan on, it sets off smoke alarm. But, there was a note about that so it is a known issue. The garbage disposal is also an issue, but we got help with that through management company, as well as a quickly fixed issue with one of the toilets. Management was very responsive. The only other callout is that with another unit above, our place was the recipient of a lot of noise from above. This was something I saw in prior reviews, so was expecting it. We were mostly able to laugh & ignore, but if you are super sensitive to that kind of thing, you may not want to stay here. All in all, it was a great place to settle down in, close to the beach. We would definitely stay there again!

Great location

Such a cute and clean place. Our only issue was the design of the building allows sound to travel all too well. I suggest the top floor, OR. rent both units. Location is perfect. right off the beach. Very pleasant.
