'Location was great- 10 min walk to centre. Property was huge- good for hen/stag do, which it is probably aimed at. The property is tired, showers cold or low pressure/ not overly clean. Feels like it needs a good deep clean, wouldn’t want to walk round with bare feet. Unfortunately, one of our party cut their foot on smashed glass in the hot tub. Additionally, one of the children also found smashed glass on the floor in the living area but fortunately was not hurt. '

'Stayed overnight on Friday after attending the festival at Bolesworth. Beautiful property and Heather the host was really lovely. Fabulous home cooked breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return x'

'That was exceptional inn We have been traveling around the Uk but that was the best inn we have been to The food is great, breakfast is very rich and the hospitality is fantastic There are several walks around the inn and there are easy to walk '

'Cooks Flat is a great find in Wrexham! Tranquil, peaceful and beautiful walks on the property. What a treat to stay on a private estate and visit the Victorian kitchen and games room. I appreciated the welcome gifts and hospitality from the hosts too. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.'

'As musicians we stay in a lot of hotels and we were delighted with our stay at The Royal Oak. The staff are friendly and efficient, the room was super with a comfy bed, large modern bathroom and spotlessly clean all around. Meals were good value and very tasty and the whole place seemed to be very well run. We'd certainly visit again and wish the Royal Oak team every success for the future.'

'The hotel staff are good especially reception and the gym but the spa which I was looking forward to it Wasn’t great You have to pay extra so my husband couldn’t use the facilities even though I had 3 treatments Which were not great the therapists are only just out of training yet they charge full price I must admit I was lucky with my facial which was excellent But the whole spa experience is not worth the money'
