How far is the beach?
The closest ocean beaches are in Cocoa Beach, about 10 miles (15–20 minutes) away at Alan Shepard Park and Sidney Fischer Park. The Indian River is about a block from the house, and it's a great spot for sunsets and dolphin sightings.
Can we walk to Cocoa Village?
Yes, it's about a 10-minute walk to the Village's restaurants, shops, pubs and the riverfront park. It's also walkable to the Space Coast Marathon start and finish.
How many showers are there?
There is one full shower, on the first floor. The upstairs bathroom has a claw-foot soaking tub without a shower. The bedrooms are upstairs, so larger groups should plan shower times.
Is there a bedroom on the main floor?
Bedrooms are upstairs, so if someone in your group can't do stairs.
Is anyone else on the property?
Yes. There's a separate rental unit on the same property with its own entrance.
Is it noisy at night?
The neighborhood is quiet, but a train line runs nearby and trains can pass at night. If you're a light sleeper, we recommend earplugs.
What is there to do outdoors?
The sideyard pavilion has an outdoor fireplace, a pizza oven and a grill, plus a front porch.
Is it kid-friendly?
Yes. There's a kids' room with a kids table, dress-up clothes, toys, books and games.
