Perfect spot to visit the Antique Boat Museum (next door!), and a very short walk to downtown Clayton and its beautiful boardwalk. The house is spotless, beds are comfy with quality linens, kitchen is well equipped, and downstairs shower has a fabulous showerhead! We didn’t use the upstairs iron bathtub, but it too was pretty cool. And if you are a reader, you’ll be impressed with the books! Private gated backyard and parking. Highly recommend!

The property was very clean with a well maintained yard. The home was comfortable with many welcoming touches and well appointed. Our daughter”s wedding was at the boat museum and the property was across the street, couldn’t have been more convenient and the owners were wonderful to work with.

Many yrs ago I spent time in Alexandria bay and brought my grandchildren to the thousands island area to make fond memories for them. Words can't explain how disappointed I was with that area. This house is in an amazing location, close to the water and walking distance to town and many restaurants. We really appreciated the proximity to everything important in town. The house was clean when we checked in. It was quite hot outside however the various air conditioners worked well. I would give it overall four stars, after considerable thought, because of a few issues noted. First, the fence which encloses the driveway end of the “fenced yard” was broken and about to come off the hinge. We were not planning on relying on this fence for our dogs, as they would have fit underneath it anyways, but the broken part kept blowing into the driveway area. Additionally, although there is a washer and dryer in the basement for guest use (my adult children did use them), I felt the stairs to the basement were too steep and dangerous for me personally to go down them. Finally, while the downstairs bathroom was modern and updated, the upstairs bath had a claw footed tub which was difficult to climb in and out of, with a slippery floor underneath.

We’ll be back!

From the location to the house itself, it was perfect for a long weekend with family and friends! We loved the fenced in yard for yard games and to let the toddlers wander. You can even view the river! We loved that there was space for everyone without being crowded (we do wish the twin bed was a full/queen but that didn’t stop us - as they kindly provided a comfy air mattress). Overall it was super clean, full of everything you need and great communication with the host! We will be back again!

Great location, walkable to downtown Clayton and nice view from the upper floor. The house is spacious and the 5 of us had room to spread out. Beds were super comfortable and ample bedding and linens provided. The kitchen is spacious and has everything needed to prepare and eat meals. It was humid and hot during our stay so we were grateful that there were several different window AC units that did a great job. All the bedrooms are on the second floor, and the stairs are old style- narrow and steep- so anyone with mobility issues would be sleeping on the couches in the living room. One of our party did this and reported they were comfortable- extra bedding was set out by one of the couches which was appreciated.
