I did my reservation for 4 adults, when we got there, the host told me he thought there were only two people and he fixed a space for the other two, but honestly there is no way 4 people will fit in that little space, I was very disappointed. We had to look for another place and of course no refund.
We didnt find much the camper to be in a usable condition for us. But we had our tents and enjoyed the outdoors. Host was very kind and helpful. Kids loved the animals. overpriced
Adorable little camper in the country for primitive, with 2 outside sitting areas. Really enjoyed our overnight stay & the hosts are so friendly & helpful!
I donât want to be too harsh, because it is renting a camper. We went into the weekend with a âwe are going campingâ mentality, thinking my husband would tent camp outside the camper with our oldest son (8) while I would âglampâ in the camper with our 6YO, 2YO, and infant.
Communication was great. The host was extremely responsive and, as stated in their info, did indeed allow pets (we have 1 dog) and additional guests (âcamper sleeps 4â it said âbut bring tents for moreâ).
AC was greatâsuper cold in Florida summer!
I donât want to be too critical, as you are camping, but I also want to be honest. We felt the description did not match what we got. The camper says sleeps 4 and has a larger bed for 2 adults (I slept there with 1 child and it worked) and a second bed for two âsmaller adultsâ but that was not the case in our opinion. My 6 YO could not comfortably sleep with our 2YO. 6YO ended up sleeping in tent outside. That bed was SMALL and NOT for adults.
It says sink and toilet but then we got message that sink is not functioning and use makeshift one outside (non potable water so I couldnât wash bottles/cups and when raining going outside was not feasible). Toilet does not flush and bucket was provided to go outside for #2 if needed. They did add a cold outdoor shower (we didnât use nor did we expect a shower).
Outdoors, my oldest and hubby were super excited to camp but the area was overgrown and had lots of cactus. They made it work but nothing like a camp site.
I like the quiet of the place that you can be in contact whit the nature and heart the crickets at night what i didn't like was the outdoor shower im ok with outdoor showers but i think it needs a little work to have better conditions
It was an awesome experience! The animals are the highlight of the show! And Arcadio is great, heâll be fast to respond and one of the nicest people youâll ever meet.
We had a great experience, hosts were very kind and accommodating. We came in after dark and they helped convert the table to a bed and brought extra blankets, the hosts are so helpful and quick to respond.
A clean bed in a secluded area - like tent camping without having to carry & set up the tent. 30 minutes from the manatees at Crystal River Wildlife Refuge & Kings Bay boat/swim tours. Climbing up to the bed in the camper requires young legs or an adventurous spirit.
First, the hosts at this property are fantastic. Very friendly and they want to make sure you're enjoying yourself but also allow you privacy. This camper hasn't been on the property very long and there are still a few adjustments needed to make your stay just a little better. First, there's no hot water. I surprised my wife with that detail when we got there. Also, there's not a real working toilet in the camper but you can manually flush it with a jug of water. The hosts prefer you use a bucket outside for #2. I think an "outhouse" with composting toilet would be a big improvement and maybe that will be in their future. There are a couple other small inconveniences but we had a great time. The positives far outweigh the negatives. The camper was very clean, the bedding was very fresh and the mattress was comfortable. It also has heat and AC. The campsite is very private and has it's own firepit area. The location of the property is also very quiet and very few cars going by. You hear nature, you hear the wind, you hear the fire crackling. This place truly takes you away and allows you to relax.
The couple we booked our stay with were great. They welcomed us upon arrival and gave us all the ins and outs on the camper. I was worried I wasn't going to be able to find the place because we came at night, but they had little lights guiding in and they called us to give us a few details so we knew exactly where to go. It's super tiny but has all the essentials including a kureg coffee maker. At the time they were doing some upgrades so the one sleeping area didn't quite suit my teenage since he's tall. But we made it work. The bed my daughter and I slept on was actually very comfortable. For two if us it would have been perfect. I would say it's great for an adult and 2 middle sized kids or for 2 adults. The owners also put together a cute area ready to go for a campfire after our day outing. They also had hammocks in the front and some animals, which my daughter loved! They gave us some feed so she could interact with them. They have one larger camper also so I imagine for a bigger family or more space this is a nice option too. They were wonderful to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again in the future for that authentic camping experience.
