Everything about the house is magnificent - the setting, the gardens, the multiple options for enjoying the outdoors as a group, or spending alone time. 'There were eight adult family members on vacation. The property is absolutely amazing. The house was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the only sounds you hear are the sheep in the dry moat and the birds that inhabit the property. Though there is no air conditioning in the home, the temperatures were very manageable with the windows open. Chartres is a charming town, away from the hustle and bustle of Paris....

'Francois was accommodating and helpful. We didn’t realize no taxis run on weekends so we were a bit stranded at the train station. Luckily, Francois and his friend swooped in and made sure we were transported safely to the chateau. The building, room and property were wonderful and we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend.'

Zeer vriendelijk personeel, unieke 4-persoonskamer "Jeanne d'Arc" met badkamer met bubbelbad in het topje van een toren. Het hotel heeft geen eigen restaurant, maar er zijn verschillende eetgelegenheden in het nabijgelegen dorpje. het ontbijt was eenvoudig, maar prima in orde. 'Nous avons passés presque deux semaines dans la suite rose et nous avons apprécié chaque minute de notre séjour. La situation du château est ideale pour visiter les trésors du Blésois, néanmois calme est à l'abri du monde. L'appartement est bien équipé et de bon goût, bien mieux que ce à quoi on pouvait s'attendre. Surtout le lit est formidable. L'acceuil était très chaleureux. Attention, on ne veut plus quitter...'

'We (two couples) loved our stay at Gizeux. Stéphanie is a generous host with her time and hospitality. Our stay started perfectly with a home cooked meal and stories about the history of the château. Gizeux is an excellent base to explore the Loire and its magnificent châteaux. At the end of the day it was always very special driving back to our very own! The family is doing an incredible job of preserving the château and it was an absolute privilege to make it our home for a few days.'

'Gregoire was a wonderful host. The Castle was clean, and any small critiques are easily understood by living in a castle from 1520! The bathrooms are modern, the beds very comfortable. There is no Air Conditioning, and the days were very warm! There were fans, though, and the nights cooled down a bit. We would definitely stay there again! Thank you, Gregoire!'

'Na een lange reis kwamen we aan in een prachtig kasteel maar een drankje drinken is niet mogelijk. Ze hadden geen faciliteit voor bar of lounge wel genoemd bij de boeking van het chateau. Geen koelkastje op de kamer wel twee flesjes water. Buiten zitten kan wel als je de kussens op de stoelen legt maar een gezellig plekje in de schaduw aLs het zo warm is was er niet gemaakt. De gastvrouw legde uit dat hun chateau valt onder bed en breakfast. En dat ze geen vergunning hebben om een glasje wijn...

'Mes amis et moi avons organisé un grand dîner au château à l’occasion du nouvel an, les lieux étaient parfaits. Le château est très charmant et décoré avec goût. Il y a une grande cuisine et un grand service (assiettes, verres, couverts…) ce qui est pratique pour organiser un dîner. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et à l’écoute. Seul bémol, le chauffage en hiver. Nous recommandons à tous les amateurs de belles propriétés et d’histoire (ancienne demeure de Lavoisier ☺️) !'
