'What a little gem Hill End Lodge was. We arrived late at night - cold and tired. John welcomed us warmly and Sue and Laura cooked up a storm for us. The place was warm and welcoming. Food and drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was just beautiful. Cabin was set in the most beautiful surroundings and cosy and comfortable. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return. Thanks all. 'TV and remote old and had to contact staff to get it to work. Opened the freezer in the fridge on arrival and water spilled out onto the carpet which was very wet the whole time. The toilet brush was absolutely disgusting.'

'The property is a bit dated but the rooms were clean and the motel was in a convenient and quiet location. A good choice for an overnight stay. We found the plumbing was noisy but this was only an issue in the evening and morning.'

'For a property that wasn’t very old it was poorly maintained. I think the staff need help to get the property up to standard.'
