'What a great stay we had at The Cochrane House! Our hosts were accommodating and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We stayed at the Cochrane House after attending a couple of sporting events in Detroit. It was so nice to come back to a place that was quiet and peaceful. 'This was a very nice room at a good rate. It was very peaceful with a park right outside. The bed and pillows were very comfy and the skylight in the room was appealing. The gentleman who works there is kind and helpful. '

'The entire house was slanted, making it difficult to walk up the stairs, which were already fairly steep. One friend left with unspecified bug bites on her leg, several of us had reddish and brown stains on our mattresses, and one persons was flipped over to hide said stains. Floor came up a bit in the kitchen on our first night there and a friend got a scratch on her foot from it. Trash was also not taken out when we arrived. Decorations were nice, and towels, sheets and dishes were included,...

'Cannot recommend this hotel enough when you are staying in Detroit. The interior is amazing, staff is friendly and room is super clean. We got a standard room but we still had a huge bathroom and enough space for 2 people. Location is superb.'

'I was very impressed all around. Very charming historical location. Classy place. Grotto spa was relaxing. Staff was nice. Very few people around so the hotel had an exclusive feel to it. Not knowing where I was in Detroit when I booked it, everything was walkable for me. Maybe not for everyone but I even walked to and from the arena from my hotel in the cold. Great stay. '

'Even though there was no pool and hottub whicj i perfer the room that i had was a one bedroom with a sofa bed. It was also a check in and out kinda deal. Made me a little nervous but it worked out ok. I had to wait for i got there early. The area because it was next to a 711 store was sketchy so i was glad to at leaste get in the building. The room was wonderful!! I loved it '
