'The breakfast at the Hotel was magnificent, a great choice of cold buffet food. The Hotel is a beautiful old colonial building restored to a high standard. There was quiet AC in the rooms and comfortable, beds we slept well. Pool area with loungers and sun umbrellas was well maintained . The staff could've be more pleasant or helpful. '

'Whenever I travel to Northern NSW I always stay at Ballina Palms even if I spend my time in other parts of Northern NSW. Andre & his family were having a well earned break and the two stand-in hosts made my time feel very welcome & helped me with my basic requests such as topping up my coffee, tea, milk, biscuits & bathroom amenities on the 3 nights I stayed. 'The rooms were great. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable, staff were incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. The shower also had amazing pressure. I loved that the town centre was only a few streets away. We stayed at another hotel after Avlon Gardens with a higher star rating and Avlon put it to shame. I highly recommend Avlon to anyone travelling to Ballina.'

'Large room with king bed. Friendly staff. Several restaurants nearby although we used The Station next door to buy takeaway for a night in to watch the tennis. Bathroom was dated but would definitely stay again.'
