'They are gradually updating the old girl and it looks great. The employees are lovely, wonderful customer service.
The rooms are very clean, although they could use new pillows.
The windows are VERY drafty on some floors, it's loud like an old horror movie. The elevator is also a little suspicious. It would be really nice if the diner was open for dinner. They make great breakfasts. There are pizza places and such nearby, though. That said, I plan to book again. '

'I have stayed in this hotel 4 times. It’s the best choice if you wanna explore Duluth and the north shore. It’s a good price, clean, great breakfast and wonderful sauna and pool. Also the beds are sooo comfortable! Recommend staying here 10/10 '

'Only giving 4 stars because of 2 things.. First thing was the Jaccuzi area was the only part not updated and it was kind of sad to walk into that. They updated everything else except that area and I can only guess the tub has been there probably since the 90s.. Also the mattress was very hard, but my husband loved it! Everything else was amazing including breakfast. The room was clean and staff was pleasant. We even got fresh belgian waffles in the morning to perfect our little valentines...

'The hotel in general was smaller but made it much more intimate and cozy. There was limited parking so if you get there later you’d have to park closer to the little walking bridge a short distance away. Check in was smooth, they do hold a $50 fee on a card in case of damages etc. Key cards are reused and easy to maneuver. Our room was clean enough for the most part, bathroom was clean and countertops were clean. Some of the blankets had pet hairs imbedded into it, wasn’t a huge deal we just set...
