I should have listened, when the hotel I came from asked, why I wanted to go to this place afterwards (had chosen it for the view)........The place presents itself as a luxury place, but in reality the rooms are small, crowded with stuff and the head rest of the bed was filthy. There was furthermore a strange smell in the entire place (old people or old furniture) and a lot of noise from the street. Ended up checking out after 3 hours and being forced to pay for 3...

'The house is cosy but below the space is rented by a restaurant which gives a lot of noise til late. I wanted to sit outside on the patio in the early evening but there wasn’t room for me because it was reserved for restaurant guests…I thought that was very bad'

'We just loved our stay at Chalet Ficalho! The building, grounds and decor all radiated old-world charm. The walled property nestled in a neighborhood felt like a private sanctuary. The staff are attentive, professional and accommodating. Everything here is just so pleasant, from the delightful breakfast on the patio to the private outdoor pool. Private parking is a bonus!'

'Great price and walking location. Did not realize this was a hostel. We had our own bathroom, but no shampoo, conditioner and towels were very worn out. They had one parking spot we could use. '
