'This beautiful little budget resort is nestled in a valley outside of town. No ocean views here, but in exchange you get serenity, a gorgeous garden, and an attentive staff. The food is simple and good, I really enjoyed the seafood fried rice. You can walk to the nearby hospital cave, which I found very interesting, but for other attractions they’ll book you a car or rent you a scooter. 'Comfortable hotel near Cat Ba town, with good views of the bay, and out of sight of the building work in town. We had a one night stay before a boat trip on Lan Ha and Halong Bays. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, effective Aircon, and comfortable bed, although slightly limited choice of nearby restaurants.'
