  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky. Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve. #Nature

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

Great long weekend

Wonderful stay at Red River Gorge. BEST hiking in the state of KY! The cabin was a great place to land after a long day out in the woods. Very clean and very comfortable. My daughter loved the loft bedroom. The cabin is located in a great spot - close to everything. Lori is very easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful and prefect

Absolutely loved this cabin. It was so welcoming and cozy. Had everything you need to make meals with to starting a bonfire. Red river gorge is a beautiful place with lots to see and do especially if you like to hike or climb. If I make another trip to Kentucky, I'd definitely stay again!

Privacy with great access to activities

The cabin was small with a perfect floor plan. Perfect for 3 adults (and would have worked for 2 couples). The kitchen was nice for breakfast and snacks and would have worked for other meals. But there were several good restaurants nearby so we ate out often. The owner advised us that the driveway was a little steep, but we had no trouble getting in and out. Plenty of space to turn around if you hate backing out of driveways.

Home away from home

It was a quiet and peaceful place to stay with tons of wildlife around the cabin. It was close enough to different amenities but far enough away to enjoy country. Cozy little cabin had everything we needed and we will definitely be back !

A Wonderful Little Paradise

This cabin is a little slice of paradise. I stayed here for 6 days with my mom, and we had an absolutely wonderful time just relaxing and enjoying our time together. We had coffee on the porch in the mornings, giving us a great view of the woods and surrounding nature. It raid most of the time we were there but that didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves. We just hung out in the cabin, played games, and caught up on some shows. It was a great place to stay and be “away” from the rest of the world. That said, there’s also plenty to do in the area, as long as you don’t mind driving a bit. The cabin itself was very clean, nicely decorated, and had everything you could need (even had good kitchen tools)! The second floor “bedroom” also has its own TV, outlets, and lamp (not things you see clearly in the photos). Lori was also easily accessible and responded promptly when I needed to reach out with questions. Her instructions for checking in and out were clear and straightforward, no complicated locks or rules to figure out. I definitely recommend staying here if you have the opportunity. I promise you won’t regret it. Both my mom and I are hoping to stay again next year.

Get away in the wilderness

We had an amazing time in this cabin and the surrounding area. We enjoyed many of the hiking trails and look outs along with the many activities located so close to the cabin. Plenty of things to do. We also ventures out to Louisville and seen the Ark and Creation Museum. We all had a wonderful time. Thank you to Lori who was always available if we needed, Her cabin is a delight.

Lori is great to work with, and the cabin is clean and conveniently located. Easy drive to both Red River Gorge Geological Area and Natural Bridge State Park.
