Quiet & Relaxing
Escaping the heat of metro Phoenix and to celebrate a birthday we spent a week at the property. The towering trees made for a shady respite from the sun. It was nice to be able to sit outside and not be baked. While still warm, the trees made a huge difference.The house is eclectic but to our liking. Very functional, very relaxing and set back from the road amongst the trees extremely quiet! Country living which was wonderful. Nice linens, shampoos, etc. were provided as well as a nice washer and dryer which we appreciated after being in the river all day. The mini-splits in every room worked perfectly to keep it at temperatures we all enjoyed. All 3 bedrooms are very large. Mattress comforts ranged from rather hard to soft.The access to the river could use a bit of maintenance as the path wasn't very clear and was a bit overgrown. We also weren't sure if it was on this property or the neighboring property, but we did see the neighbors and they were friendly. Getting into and out of the river is a bit tricky as it's a low slope but with slick, mud covered rocks. We tied our floats to rocks and trees with long lines and spent the days just floating in place on the river under big shade trees. VERY, VERY relaxing! It was an awesome week of reading, eating, relaxing in a much cooler, shadier spot with lots of wildlife to watch including deer, birds of all sorts, etc.
