'The house, built 1870, would be a dream for children: candy, cookies, chocolate, muffins, candybars e v e r y w h e r e !! Inside it has an extensive collection of all kind of odds and ends, which makes the house so cozy! We stayed in the governer's room, a big room with a comfortable king bed. You must not count on (daily) cleaning and making the bed, because both jobs won't happen. That was a bit disappointing, because we stayed for four nights and had expected that to happen. 'The property is spectacular. Only thing I found utterly ridiculous is the pool being closed until “next summer.” It’s Oct 7 and 95 degrees in Shreveport. I hope they read this and leave the pool open year round. Let the guests decide if it’s a good pool day in a Gulf Coast state!!! Website says nothing but the million dollar pool is all over it. Too bad it’s closed Oct-June. Just Dumb! …and false advertising IMO. Do better LIVE people.'

Besides the room being bigger than average and a bathtub that can fit 2 people , it’s a basic stay. Large room but with the basics like anywhere else wich makes the unused space feel kinda wasted. 'Wonderful Stay – A Breath of Fresh Air After leaving another hotel due to terrible conditions, staying at the Hampton Inn was exactly what my family needed. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very well-kept. The rooms were spotless, the beds were cozy, and everything felt fresh. Every staff member we interacted with was polite, welcoming, and professional, which made a huge difference after the experience we had just come from. "If you’re out here to visit Bossier and/or Shreveport with a casino night to call it a day, this is your ideal place to be. I had a regular King room newly renovated. Besides the room being bigger than average and a bathtub that can fit 2 people , it’s a basic stay. Large room but with the basics like anywhere else wich makes the unused space feel kinda wasted. If you’re traveling solo, make sure to ask for a room that’s not adjoining. I did not feel safe knowing the person in the room next to me could just come in and vice versa. Wich also resulted in a sleepless first night since the snoring from the neighbor was crystal clear to hear and kept me awake. TV only worked on the channels with hotel information. For over $100 a night and extra fees you cannot escape and no breakfast included, I would suggest going to another hotel or even a decent motel. The first floor with the casino etcetera is very nice and luxurious. Any other floor is just average like every other hotel or decent motel. "
