'Bathroom was horrible'

'We had a wonderful stay at Candlewood Suites Grand Rapids. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Our room was spacious and equipped with everything we needed, including a convenient kitchenette. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with any questions. The location was excellent, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and local attractions. We especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere and comfortable beds, which made for a relaxing stay....

'I will neverrr in my life will i ever stay at this hotel ever again in my life. I was displaced from my home due to my neighbor starting a fire and the manager thought it was cool to crack a rude joke “just don’t burn our hotel down” umm excuse me? Then at breakfast, i noticed other people had their dogs, no one said a word to them. I assumed oh, it must be a thing and it was okay. While we were in the lobby with my dog… the manager said something to us. I moved him but I thought it was funny...

'We have stayed here before and thought we would again. We had to change our stay date and asked to change the date way ahead of time but they wouldn't let us change it! Another hotel had no problem doing that for us. We will never stay here again!'

'Our room was not the cleanest. Specifically, the bathroom behind the sink basin was not cleaned, there was hair in the bathroom in lots of places, the door handles were dirty and the wall by the bed had something gross stuck to it. Other issues were that the tub did not drain at all, and the sink drained very slowly. The TV remote was missing the back panel. But...the beds were very comfortable and clean and the staff was very nice.'

'We have stayed here for two days on a business trip. The room was okay sized, clean and with comfortable beds. Enough service and good location to main roads! The neighborhood is bit shabby, but we just needed a clean bed for the night and that they offered. 'When I first approached the hotel my first thought was it's an apartment complex. The exterior needs updated. The room was clean. The lobby is small, the reason they do not offer breakfast. Coffee is offered though. I didn't utilize the pool so I won't comment on that. Overall a decent place to stay for the price.'

'Rooms were dirty, ceiling tiles were caving in over the kitchen, entrance doors were broke and anyone could enter. We were scheduled for 2 nights but after we came back to room after 7:00pm for 2nd night stay, the room was not cleaned. Breakfast bar had cereal but NO milk ... par for the course for this hotel.'

'Very well kept, staff always cleaning and it smelled nice like cleaning staff added some nice scents to rooms and hallways. Appreciated that we could actually use the pull out coach - it was nice and clean. All other hotel experiences we have had in the past we could never use pullout because it was dirty and nasty like never cleaned. But this place you can tell cleaning was a priority! Really quiet which was surprising for a weekend holiday stay. Kids enjoyed pool. Very spacious room.'

'When we arrived the outdoor trash can was overflowing and garbage was blowing around the parking lot. We walked in the lobby and there was no one at the desk. We rang the bell and after several minutes someone finally came to check us in. She was less than friendly. Got into our room and the cleaning staff left everything to be desired. The furniture was dusty and the metal plate that the bedside light fixtures were attached to had crusty finger prints around the light switches. The bathroom...
