  • The Britannia Mine Museum between Vancouver and Whistler just off the 99. The mine is great but the Historic Mill is incredible. This was built by hand in 1921 when the mine was only accessible by boat. It's in a stunning location and is used for the movie business. Apparently it takes over an hour to reach the top of the staircase and when it was first built there were no handrails. Take the tour and wander around the other exhibits for an hour or so. My brother, a friend, and I stayed in this beautiful house for four days, and we felt like we couldn't have found a more perfect place for our annual get-together. The space was fantastic, the interior woodwork was beautiful, and the views out the back were fantastic. It is close to Squamish, where I love to climb, and just far enough out of town to feel super peaceful. Jared, the host, was very positive and clear in his communication, and I'm eager to return to this place with my wife!

Beautiful space

The home is stunning with all the wood and open concept living/dining area. Really well stocked kitchen and nice back deck. Only slight downside is there's not great lighting options around the wooden staircase at night (I think one of the ceiling lights was out) so a bit dark, but you could turn on nearby hallway lights for more lighting if needed. Overall beautiful place.

Luxe high end features and fixtures, lovely timber beams and staircase, huge kitchen, poshy master suite and close enough to the MTB trails in Squamish. The host is kind, very accommodating and thoughtful. We would return with our two teens for sure.

Just what we wanted!

The location, amenities, and setting of the home was exactly what we needed and wanted to create a getaway for our 31st Anniversary. Located nearly exactly halfway between Vancouver and Whistler, we were able to easily explore both areas, spend time on the beautiful Sea to Sky Highway, AND have a quiet, lovely place as our home base. Jared was a wonderful host and very responsive. The description and photos were exactly as we experienced them. We highly recommend this host and property!

When traveling, which I do frequently, I look for 3 things when renting a home: 1) Comfortable and functional living space; 2) Nice surrounding area; 3) Good communication with owner. This listing checked off all 3 and then some. The home is just as advertised and offers an exceptional living area. The owner has taken the extra effort to make this rental a memorable experience. It is truly a gem and I would definitely rent this beautiful home again.

Beautiful, Modern, Clean, and Comfortable

My family of 4 (husband, sons ages 14 and 10, and myself) stayed in Jared's beautiful home for 5 days this summer. The pictures really do not capture the spaciousness and beauty of this home. The views from both decks are breathtaking, including mountains, Howe Sound, and the Britannia Mine. Our favorite unexpected perk, by far, was the local map (and advice) provided by Jared, which included hidden local walks and waterfalls, and even a path underneath the highway to a beach only accessible at low tide. The location was perfect for exploring Squamish, enjoying the Sea-to-Sky Gondola, and a tour of the Mine. I cannot recommend this beautiful home enough, and we were overwhelmingly sad to leave. Many thanks to our awesome host!

Quiet place for the down time between adventures.

Family of three plus an adventure dog stayed here for three nights in absolute bliss. The house is amazing and the views from the decks are breathtaking. Great place. Perfect location to take a step back and slow down between adventures.

My wife, two teenage daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights in July. The house was exactly as described and the Owner was very communicative and helpful. The home is an nice 10 minute drive to Squamish which has all the amenities one would need. Great area and I would definitely consider booking again.

Beautiful open home, perfect stay for our family of 4. View inside and outside of the home is amazing. Squamish area and downtown are a quick drive and many things offered. Highly recommend staying here if you like an open studio like design and many windows with a view.

This is a lovely property to spend a few days at. Great views, roomy kitchen and living room. Fabulous 'master' bedroom, and 2 awesome bathtubs. Best for just 2 adults though, unless you are ok with sleeping in kid-sized bunk beds!
