« First I’ll address the driveway.It’s steep, just as described in the description as well as comments. Our 4WD vehicle went up just fine but our other vehicle did not. It stayed safely parked at the bottom of the driveway. « Perfect place for my sister and I to stay while attending the MLB Speedway Classic at Bristol Motor Speedway. The owners are very attentive and responsive, and the cabin had everything we needed. « Wonderful stay! We enjoyed walking our dog by the river and on the well maintained grounds. We also enjoyed the beautiful view of the river from the balcony each morning with coffee. The Laurel cabin was cozy with everything needed to feel like home away from home. »

The check in process was a bit odd, the cottages are not clearly marked, they had to guess which cabin was theirs and try their code. Otherwise, this place was perfect. « Great place to get away to private surroundings. VRBO photos were accurate. Cabin was very clean. House well stocked. We did day trips to Blowing Rock, Valley Cruises, Banner Elk, and Grandfather Mountain, and swam in the swimming hole with waterfall that was a short drive from cabin that we found by asking a local resident for directions.
