  • Gelegen in een AONB perfect voor een ontspannen vakantie en ook voor wandelen en spotten van dieren in het wild in overvloed in dit gebied .. Allemaal op de begane grond.
    Woonkamer: met Freesat TV, dvd-speler en openslaande deuren naar de tuin.
    Keuken / eetkamer: met elektrisch fornuis, magnetron, koelkast / vriezer, vaatwasser, wasmachine en droger.
    Slaapkamer 1: met tweepersoonsbed.
    Slaapkamer 2: met eenpersoonsbed.
    Doucheruimte: met douchecabine en toilet .. Centrale verwarming op gas inbegrepen. Omheinde tuin met tuinmeubelen. Geen kinderen jonger dan 5 jaar oud .. Alle eigenschappen: elektriciteit, beddengoed, handdoeken en Wi-Fi inbegrepen. Prive parkeerplaats voor 1 auto. Niet roken.. Stel in het ongerepte dorp Bothenhampton ongeveer een mijl van Bridport en de nieuwe haven van West Bay, waar de tv-serie "Broadchurch" werd gefilmd, en de stranden. De historische touwproducerende stad Bridport met zijn tweewekelijkse markt is een toegangspoort tot de Jurassic Coast, het enige natuurlijke werelderfgoed van Engeland. Sweet Briar (ref 8234) en buizerds (ref 8235, eerste verdieping) bevinden zich in de oostelijke vleugel van een oud landhuis en Farthings (ref 19292) ligt in het westen. De vakantiewoningen hebben uitzicht over de velden en bossen van de Dorset Downs. Veel dassen hebben hun set op de heuvel achter gemaakt en er is een overvloed aan dieren in het wild. Sinds enkele jaren kunnen vakantiegangers in Sweet Briar (ref 8234) en buizerds (ref 8235) een familie van herten zien grazen in de aangrenzende velden en tijdens de zomermaanden zetten vleermuizen een verbazingwekkende luchtvertoning op. Perfect om te ontspannen of meer verkwikkende wandelvakantie in deze AONB, die uitgebreide NT land omvat. Chesil Beach, een van de mooiste stranden met stranden, begint in West Bay. Lyme Regis met zijn Cobb en het beroemde fossielenstrand in Charmouth zijn vlakbij. Niet ver weg is de oude stad Dorchester met zijn fort uit de ijzertijdheuvel en het Romeinse herenhuis en vele andere bezienswaardigheden van historisch belang. Breng een dag door in Abbotsbury Swannery, de enige plek ter wereld waar u tussen de babyzwanen kunt wandelen (uitkomen vanaf mei). Golfbaan en recreatiecentrum in de buurt. Fietsverhuur lokaal beschikbaar. Ideaal voor het verkennen van de Jurassic Coast of om gewoon te ontspannen in dit rustige dorp. Winkel, pub en restaurant ¾ mijl.

A wonderful retreat for relaxing, hiking, beachcombing, sightseeing.

A wonderful retreat for relaxing, hiking, beachcombing, sightseeing.Very comfortable accomodation, immaculately clean, tucked away in a very peaceful edge of village location. Great area for dog walking and so close to the beach we felt we had everything on our doorstep.Lovely cream tea and a jug of milk awaited our arrival, could not ask for a better welcome! Thank you so much for a very special few days!

Arrived to a lovely clean bright apartment Nicely furnished and modern. Kitchen well equipped.. Great having fenced off garden for our dog and pleasant to sit in the sunshine. Good for parking. Very near to West Bay and Bridport . Only five minutes in the car .Good area to get to Lyme Regis and Weymouth . The only negative was the noise from apartment above. Creaking floorboards and could hear every time they moved and vibrations from the washing machine .

What a lovely holiday home - in an idyllic rural setting with lots of different walks right on the doorstep- but also only a stone's throw from Bridport town and only a mile from West Bay beach and harbour. We have three dogs and it was hard to find a place that would allow that many. Yet Sweet Briar was clean, light, airy and well equipped; it felt really relaxing - lovely private patio with rosebushes and garden furniture. Great base to explore Dorset from. Cream tea waiting on arrival is a nice touch. Helpful tip - the water is quite hard so use bottled water in the kettle to make your tea!

The only issue we had was that you are able to hear the people in the flat above and we were once woken at 6 in the morning by the noise. Otherwise the holiday home would have been near perfect. My husband, daughter and our two furry babies spent two weeks in the lovely garden cottage. The welcome gift of a beautiful cream tea when we arrived was a perfect finish to our long day of travelling. We spent many days in the lovely garden sunning ourselves and found the piece and quite of the village location rejuvenating. It was also the perfect base and location for us to explore many beaches and towns along the coastline. The couple who own the cottage couldn’t have been more helpful. Thanks

This apartment is in an ideal location for exploring the Dorset coast.

This apartment is in an ideal location for exploring the Dorset coast. Bridport and West Bay are well within walking distance and there are excellent longer walks from the door. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable. A major drawback is the noise from the upstairs apartment. Every footstep can be heard and seems to reverberate around. There was also a dog upstairs when we were there and we could frequently hear its tail thumping on the floor.
