Putsborough Beach is sheltered by cliffs and ideal for swimming and surfing. A lane at the side of the building leads to the beach and during the main season, a beach shop and cafe provides refreshments. When it’s out of season, Croyde and Woolacombe are nearby – both villages have a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. The South West Coast Path provides miles of excellent walking paths with Mortehoe (4 miles on foot) being of particular note. If you want to do some shopping, Braunton (4 miles) is nearby or Barnstaple (9.5 miles) is a little further and has a theatre, a leisure centre, a cinema and plenty of shops and eateries.
