'Lovely hotel, utterly delightful rooms! Yes the curtians need replacing as other people have said, but it's almost in keeping with a 600 year old building. Food was OK but not special. Tutbury is pleasant and the castle is worth seeing! All in all a very pleasant stay and will go back.'

'Het hotel is wat gedateerd, maar de kamer was keurig netjes en heel belangrijk: we hadden een HEERLIJK bed. De kamers zijn verschrikkelijk gehorig, maar dat komt waarschijnlijk omdat het hotel wat gedateerd is. Er is niets om je aan vast te houden als je het bad in- en uit stapt om te douchen. Voor ouderen kan dit zeer zeker een probleem zijn.'

'A very well.appointed cottage in a brilliant location in the heart of Wooler. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The owner was always very responsive when we had any queries. All the main attractions in Northumberland are easily accessible from Wooler so it's a brilliant place to stay to explore this beautiful county. I can highly recommend this lovely property.'

'Vorig jaar hier geweest en een erg goed verblijf gehad. Dit jaar daarom voor het zelfde hotel gekozen. Of het nu door bezuinigingen komt of slecht management. Het leek wel alsof er een jaar bijna niets gedaan is. Verval in kwaliteit van goed naar op het randje acceptabel en er overheen. Voorbeelden: schimmel in badkamer, 1 handdoel voor 2 gasten, geen echte koffie meer maar oploskoffie bij het ontbijt, computersysteem wat uitvoel waardoor het uitchacken een uur vertraagd, '
