Get away from it all without breaking the bank !! Now back on the market by popular demand from former guests. We are again offering the 340 sft cabin, ideal for a single traveler or for a couple. If guests bring a cot, it might even fit the baby. The cabin is especially popular by guests who tour the Selkirk Loop on their bicycles (www.selkirkloop.org). We are the first campground/cabin rental business on the lake when coming from the south and we are located almost midway. The cabin is equipped with a queen bed, linens and towels, kitchen with mid-size fridge, full size kitchen range, microwave, coffee maker and dishes, pots & pans and kitchen utensils for 2 guests. It also has a bathroom with shower and plenty of hot water. To stay connected, in an area with spotty cell service, we have now equipped the cabin with it's own Wi-Fi (Telus 6 - fast enough to reliably stream videos). Since Summers are getting hotter, we installed a good cooling Window A/C unit that keeps the cabin cool even on a very hot day. It's only a short walk or drive to Mackie Beach Park with it's beautiful pebbly beach and picnic tables, swim platform, firepit, washroom and parking area. Two minute walk down to our beach campground for a quick dip in the lake. For boaters, the public boat ramp is 1 mile away and free to use. Boaters are welcome to park their boats in the designated boat parking area for a fee. Feel free to bring your own foldable camping chairs; table top BBQ and propane fire pit.
**Boswell is situated approximately halfway between Creston and the ferry landing in Kootenay Bay. The ferry crosses the lake towards the Nelson side and is free to use. Guests often walk on and enjoy a free round trip free lake cruise with breathtaking views. The Osprey 2000's snack bar sells very delicious hot dogs and bakery items. Kokanee Golf Resort is a short 20 minutes drive away. Bring your canoe or kayak, hundreds of secluded beaches and bays invite you to explore. Guests can leave their canoes and kayaks at our beach area (bring a chain and padlock). We are dog friendly, there is no fee for your puppy but we ask our guests to never leave their dogs unattended.
