Overall, this was the perfect place for our needs on this trip and a good value. It had a great amount of space and the off street parking was a major plus. I already knew the area very well so I knew it was a residential area with Porter Square a short walk away. It is a great place to stay if you want to be away from the busiest parts of Boston and Cambridge. With this said, the red line train can take you to Park St station in about 15 to 20 minutes and Harvard Sq and Central Sq, are only 1 and 2 stops away respectively so you really get the best of both worlds. The only thing that is keeping me from listing it as a full 5 stars was that there seems to be a bit of inconsistency with the cleaning agency that resets the unit. For example there is a washer/dryer in unit but no detergent. There is also a bathroom but there was no toilet paper anywhere in the unit. I messaged the host about this and she informed me that the usual cleaner sent their assistant so there was no toilet paper in the unit so we had to go out and buy some. I'm not sure how common this issue is but a little heads up or offering to fix the problem, would have been nice. All in all, this is a spacious, clean, quiet unit with a well stocked kitchen in a good area. It is the kind of unit I would want to rent if I was moving back to the area. The host is nice and even the upstairs neighbors were really friendly. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay close to Boston or Cambridge.
