'Three Trails is ideally located in downtown Elkin. It, however, is located next to an active railroad line and trains do sound their horns early in the mornings and sometimes at night. Three Trails is also on the corner of the main street junction of the city. Therefore, there is street noise. 'Checking in was a nightmare, not on the property manager but on hotels.com. Hotels.com had the wrong property manager listed, didn’t share my info with the real property so they could contact me. I had to track down the real property manager myself the morning before i left causing me to leave late. 'Beautiful property. Quiet and relaxing with a great view. Got to see black bears every morning.check in was easy. Drive up on the mou tain is a challenge and would not recommend on an Ice storm. Love it and we will be back.'
