The property is beautiful and the cabin is functional and we were very happy to bring our dogs. The host responded well. However the washer was broken and full of water that had been there for awhile, which had a little smell. It was very dusty. I think the cabin is dated and could use some updating - unfortunately we waited to the last minute to book for Thanksgiving and paid over 800 a night for the cabin - more our fault then theirs. We just wished the price matched the experience.

The place is not secluded as advertised, and the outdoor dock/swing area is not maintained well. We had two dogs with us, but the place doesn’t have a hose/water connection outside to wash the dogs after playing in the lake. The cabin layout was functional; however, the microwave needs a serious upgrade (it’s the smallest ever with hardly any power). The hot tub area is a nice addition with a screen-in porch, but unfortunately, there was no hot water. Overall, we had a decent time, but the lack of working amenities and below-par maintenance on the outside makes it a bit difficult to rate the place any higher.

Summertime in the mountains

This was just what a cabin in the mountains in the summer should be Situated by a clean mountain lake with all the water toys you need to stay cool. Cabin was furnished with everything you need to enjoy your stay. As with most mountain cabins phone coverage was spotty but the wi-fi was excellent and we used wi- fi calling. Very private with nice porch and rockers for your relaxation as well as clean hot tub. Just be careful on the mountain roads as there are some rough spots but host not responsible. The county should be on top of this. We all enjoyed our stay very much.

We enjoyed our stay. While we didn’t mind, I wouldn’t consider it “secluded” as you have neighbors right next door. Their dock is a few yards from the fire pit. If you’re looking for privacy and that would bother you, just fyi. Also there wasn’t any starter supply of dishwasher detergent or bar soap/shampoo/cond. for the shower. We brought shampoo, etc but had to use hand soap for our first showers as we expected at least a small bar of soap. We didn’t run the washer/dryer but I didn’t notice any small supply of detergent for that either. Would be nice if the owner provided those things, esp the dish detergent since it’s expected to run the washer before you leave. We did enjoy using the kayaks and hot tub!

Beautiful Waterfront cabin. We love our stay. The kids enjoyed the lake and the hot tub. There’s a perfect spot for kids to walk into the water and swim, also deploy the kayaks. The pictures were spot on but it’s even more beautiful in the summertime with all the green leaves. The fire pit is in a wonderful spot. It was even sprinkling the last night and you couldn’t feel it under the trees. The internet was great and so were the smart tvs. We watched scary cabin movies at night. The only thing that may need updating soon would be the gas grill. The heat plates have seen there day. I still made it work and had great hamburgers and chicken thighs. I would definitely love to stay again.

Perfect Get Away

This cabin was all that we wanted and more! Quiet and secluded! We had two 12 year olds that fished from morning till night on the beautiful lake, Blue Ridge Tubing was another highlight of our trip to Blue Ridge! The kids have already asked about next summer! Highly recommend!

Great Tiy

The first day we arrive there by the time we checked in get unpacked for the most part we just relaxed and walked around the property. Sunday and Monday the weather wasn’t too good matter fact Monday it literally rained for about 36 hours straight so we just stayed in a cabin. Played some games and watch some movies. Tuesday and Wednesday it was a little on the cool side, but we got some fishing in and for the most part all of this did catch fish mainly bluegill, but I was one of the lucky ones that caught a bass. I don’t know if it’s the season or not but restaurants are very difficult to find ones that are open past 6 PM and the ones that are open if you don’t have a reservation, forget it. Our last evening there we did find it excellent seafood, and steakhouse. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the name of it, but I had the rainbow trout and it was out of this world. The hostess was very accommodating very quick to respond. Although there is a few things that would be nice if they were updated overall I cannot complain. The whole family had a wonderful time and we look forward to coming back in the future and I definitely would recommend it to other family and friends

5 stars for Candy

Candy, the host, was by far one of the best hosts I've ever dealt with. She was responsive and friendly. The location of the cabin was exactly what I was looking for. It was peaceful and very relaxing. Pros: Candy (host) Location Outdoor space - swing, pond, dock, deck, etc Fishing (caught bass and bluegill Leave the lures at home and just get a tub of worms) Dog friendly Paths leading to different areas of the property Arcade game Washer/Dryer Cons/opportunities: Missed cleaning opportunities (Candy did attempt to rectify. Much appreciated) Other dog friendly cabins we have stayed in had the ability to secure doors from both the inside and outside. Beyond Candy's control but the county road leading up to the cabin could use some attention. This is a common theme with all the cabins we have stayed in. Overall, I would recommend this cabin and Candy.

Wonderful 2nd Stay at the Cabin!

We repeated our trip from last year and had just as much fun and relaxation as our first visit. The property has an amazing secluded access to a small, peaceful lake that we loved kayaking and paddle boarding on. The host is very responsive and checking in is a breeze. We brought all of our dogs with us and they loved the property oven more than we do! Highly recommended cabin rental for anyone wanting a comfortable place to stay with an amazing lakefront property!

Perfect

This cabin is so peaceful. We enjoyed just being together with family we dont see that often, and being able to watch my niece enjoy fishing (and catching them) was so fun. Also, the beds are great. My husband and I both have back issues and usually when we go on vacation both our back are hurting after the first day...but not here.

Peaceful

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. It was quiet and peaceful. Candy was great with communication from beginning to end. We really enjoyed being able to kayak. Every morning and evening we had breakfast and dinner on the back porch overlooking the lake. The swing was in the perfect location. We were able to watch a couple of Canadian geese land on the lake every evening and take off every morning. My husband enjoyed the fishing and said it was paradise!

Peaceful Mountain property

This was a wonderful trip for some peace and quiet time. Perfect view of water. Paths make it easy access. We loved the fire pit and kayaks! Just a really nice place!

Perfect getaway

This lake house was absolutely perfect for our family vacation! It had everything. Kayaks, hot tub, big tub to soak in and the kids loved that, huge porch, private pier, areas to fish, lake access,..I’m sure I’m missing something. It had everything we needed. Our dogs were able to run around outside without any trouble which was nice. No one is really close by. We actually didn’t see anyone at all until our last day. We enjoyed it so much we didn’t go anywhere. We just enjoyed being at the cabin. It was well accommodated for our kids 5 and 2. If you have young ones, I do recommend bringing a baby gate for the stairs. Everything in the house and outside is very sturdy and kept up very well. The yard is kept well enough for the kids to run around in it and not get hurt, but still left natural enough. This was a getaway from literally everything and I felt like we were in our own world. We had two dogs, two kids, my husband and me, and my parents. It was big enough for all of us to do our own thing if we wanted or to have privacy, and also perfect for when we came together at the big table for dinner or hanging out in the living room or on the porch. Candy was very responsive and kind. I cannot say enough about her or this lovely home.

Very relaxing environment

My husband and I needed a getaway for a few days, so we decided to rent a cabin with a lake view. We also brought our German Shepherd with us. The property was clean and the host responded quickly! It was very peaceful and serene. The lakeview from the front porch was beautiful. We were about 19 minutes to Main street in Blue Ridge where all the quaint shops and restaurants were. The Black Sheep Restaurant had delicious food there. The hot tub was very relaxing and the swing near the lake was sturdy and fun. There's a Ms. Pacman game in the loft area upstairs that was very entertaining. The only small issues were the grill wasn't cleaned by the housekeeper and the blinds in the kitchen and nook area didn’t have the handles to open and close them. I like opening the blinds during the day for natural sunlight and closing them at night. There wasn't any cell service as indicated, but free Wi-Fi is available. If you have apps on your phone, you can use them over WiFi. Just download the TextNow app on your phone to make calls over Wi-Fi. It worked fine for us. Overall, we enoyed our stay!

Beautiful secluded cabin

My husband, 4 dogs, and I stayed after kids had started school. This made it extremly quiet on this wonderful lake. The cabin was very clean and had all the basic kitchen cooking dishes/utensils. The hot tub was awesome and is where we spent a couple minutes every morning after having coffee on the porch. Wifi and Roku TV's were a plus as well as the vintage arcade games that us older folks enjoyed! We did not have cell reception which was kind of a good thing but also a little scary. The lake was great and the kayaks were so fun! There are other houses close by, but since we were there off season, we only saw a couple across the lake towards the end of our stay. The road is a little rough on the drive down as to be expected for a secluded cabin. The location was perfect distance for what we wanted...white water rafting, ziplining, spa, and good food! Candy was exceptional in communicating and happy to help with any quations we had. Would love to visit again!💞
