Cute spot for a weekend getaway
My boyfriend and I rented this place because we just wanted a weekend to decompress. When we were looking at rentals, the only thing we wanted was a hot tub, so we were thrilled to find this place at an affordable price with a private hot tub right outside. After reading another review that mentioned that the hot water for the hot tub wasn’t turned on when they arrived, I reached out to Jennifer, the host, two separate times to ask her if there was anything we needed to do with the hot tub when we arrived or if it would be ready for use upon arrival. I was told both times that there was nothing we needed to do and that the hot tub would be ready for use. When we arrived, however, the water was freezing, and we had to call the help number to figure out how to turn the hot water on. The hot tub took several hours to heat up, which meant that we weren’t able to use it the first night, and since we were only there for two nights this was a huge bummer. Other than that, we didn’t have many other hiccups - we did have to go out and buy our own body wash and hand soap on the second day, because there were no shower products provided and the hand soap provided was basically water. On the second night we wanted to shower in the early evening before dinner, but there was no hot water. After calling the help line, we were told someone from maintenance would come out to look at it, but no one ever came. We had an enjoyable weekend but probably wouldn’t return to this particular rental.
