Built in 1858 by architects Hornblower and Haylock in the Jacobean revival style, the building is Grade II listed (Historic England listing 1076280) and was originally an almshouse complex. Today it combines that period character with a fully refurbished, high-specification interior finish.

The flat occupies its own space within the complex, with an open-plan kitchen and living area and a separate double bedroom, all finished to a high standard. The building itself is arranged around a landscaped courtyard garden, giving the development a quiet, green feel despite sitting directly on Birmingham's Five Ways roundabout, one of the city's best-connected locations.

LOCATION

Five Ways is a well-known, highly central Birmingham location at the junction of Broad Street and Hagley Road, on the edge of Birmingham City Centre. The development sits immediately next to Broadway Plaza, an entertainment complex with a multiplex cinema, tenpin bowling, a gym and an indoor climbing centre, plus a range of restaurants and bars, all within a couple of minutes on foot. A large Morrisons supermarket is directly across the road for everyday shopping.

Five Ways railway station is roughly 600 metres away (around 7-8 minutes on foot), with a Cross-City Line service into Birmingham New Street. The Five Ways Metro tram stop is a similarly short walk, connecting directly along Broad Street into the city centre and out to Edgbaston Village on Hagley Road. Brindley Place, with its restaurants, bars and designer shopping, is within easy walking distance, as is Broad Street itself, one of Birmingham's main dining and nightlife destinations.

NO PARTIES: We use Minut noise monitoring technology.
QUIET HOURS: 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Please keep noise to a minimum during these hours.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: No more guests than the number stated on the booking are permitted on the property at any time.
SMOKING: Not permitted anywhere inside the building. Smoking is only allowed outside.
PETS: Allowed with prior notice and an additional pet fee. Please contact us before booking if travelling with a pet.
SECURITY: The building has a secure video entry system and communal lift access. CCTV cameras are located in the corridors outside the flats and the balcony, within the building, but not inside any flat.
DEPOSIT: A refundable £250 security deposit may be required depending on your booking method.
VERIFICATION: ID verification required via Guest Portal.
CHECK-IN/OUT: Check-in from 15:00 / Check-out by 10:00.

🔑 Step 1: Collect your key and fob
When you arrive at the address, you will see white double doors behind a low brick wall with black railings. Go through the gap in the wall to enter the grounds. Before you reach the white doors, turn right and walk to the very end. Behind the last brick column you will find our lockbox: the grey one at the bottom (MASTER LOCK). Your lockbox code is shown below these instructions.

🚪 Step 2: Enter the building
Go to the white double doors. Hold your fob flat against the screen of the door entry panel. The screen turns blue, shows OPEN and the door unlocks.

🏠 Step 3: Find your apartment
Once inside, go to the first block on your left.

Walk into the arched porch. Your apartment is number 1, the pink door on the right on the ground floor. Use your key to open it. Please do not go upstairs, as other guests are staying there.

When you leave, please return the key and fob to the black Squire lockbox and scramble the code.
