Other Things to Note:
Check-in, 3pm: Prior to your check in date you will receive a message with your room number and detailed check in information. There is Wi-Fi in the cabins, but please ensure you have these details saved as mobile service is unreliable on the mountain.
Check-out, 10am: To check out simply leave your cabin unlocked, with the key on the kitchenette bench.
Parking: There is public parking in the top car park beside Ben Lomond Village. Parking is not permitted beyond the boom gates or in the restricted parking areas. The car park is free to use, however, a Parks Pass is required to enter Ben Lomond National Park.
Get your parks pass at parks.tas.gov.au/
Food: A light continental breakfast each morning is included with your booking.
There is no on-mountain cafe, restaurant or dinner service running during the summer season. The closest business serving food is the BASE cafe, located at the bottom of the mountain. The BASE cafe is not associated with the Creek Cabins, but is generally open throughout the summer. The next closest restaurants and shops are in Launceston.
In your cabin kitchenette facilities are limited to: a kettle, under-bench fridge, microwave, basic cooking utensils, and cutlery.
There is a dining space in the bottom cabin which can be unlocked by a code provided in your cabin. Facilities include: a small gas burner, pots and pans, microwave, cooking utensils, cutlery, and a dining area. This is a shared space so we ask that you please respect others by cleaning and washing up after use. Please note that any supplies in the fridge in the dining cabin are intended for breakfast only
You will need to bring appropriate supplies to prepare your own meals with the facilities provided for the duration of your stay. Basic, reheatable and easy to prepare meals are recommended.
Please feel free to BYO alcohol.
Drinking water: The water to the cabins is supplied from the dam which feeds the Alpine village. This is beautiful, fresh, mountain water, but it is untreated. While many mountain locals will drink it as is, we recommend you boil water before consuming. There will be 1 bottle of water per guest provided upon check in, as well as a heat proof glass jug to cool water boiled in your kettle.
Remote environment: Please note that the Ben Lomond Alpine Village is a rugged and remote environment, with limited Telstra mobile reception and Wi-Fi. Your room will contain a UHF radio for contacting our staff, and they will remain onsite during your stay, staying in the large double story lodge located behind the cabins.
