Rest in the countryside, with Bruges and Ghent close enough for a day out. A house in Beernem for up to 10 guests, with a large private garden of its own. Bruges is 14 km away, Ghent 35 km, the coast 25 km. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms and one long table for the whole group. Outside, a wood-fired hot tub and fire pit all year round, and an unheated pool in its own glass pool house. The house carries the moroww label: inspected in person before it was accepted.
The Space:
This is a house for slowing down. It sits in the countryside of Beernem, a semi-detached house with a large garden that is entirely yours.
Spend the day in Bruges or Ghent, then come back to a quiet garden, a hot tub you fire up with wood and a fire as the light goes. That is the rhythm the house is built for.
Four bedrooms with box-spring beds, plus a mezzanine with two single beds. Two bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower and one with a bath, and a separate guest toilet.
The living area is open and full of daylight: a sitting room, a dining table that seats the whole group, and a kitchen equipped for real cooking rather than reheating. Dishwasher, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee machine and washing machine.
The garden has a covered terrace, so rain does not end the evening. Wood-fired hot tub, fire pit, barbecue and pétanque court, a trampoline for the children, and an unheated pool in its own glass pool house.
Guest Access:
The entire house and garden are yours. Nothing is shared, and no one else has access during your stay.
Check-in is on your own time from 3 PM, using a secure key box. No handover, no waiting.
The pool, hot tub, barbecue, fire pit and pétanque court are for your use alone. Private parking for five cars.
The Neighborhood:
Beernem lies halfway between Bruges and Ghent, which makes it one of the few places where you can see both cities and still sleep in silence.
Bruges is a twenty-minute drive: the canals, the Markt and the quiet beguinage. Ghent is a little over half an hour: the Graslei, the Gravensteen and a livelier city centre. The coast is around twenty-five minutes away.
Back home, quiet country roads start at the door, good for cycling without getting in the car.
Getting Around:
A car is the easiest way to reach the house and to explore the area, and there is space for five on-site.
Beernem station is a short drive away, with direct connections towards Bruges, Ghent and the coast.
Other Things to Note:
The pool is in a glass pool house and is not heated, so it is at its best in the warmer months. The hot tub, barbecue and fire pit are available year-round.
The hot tub is wood-fired and takes time to heat up, so light it well before you want to use it. A set amount of firewood is provided; extra firewood is available to purchase.
Bed linen and towels are included. Coffee, tea and bathroom essentials are waiting for you on arrival.
The house is semi-detached. We ask you to keep evenings quiet after 10 PM out of respect for the neighbours, and to treat the house as you would your own.
Interaction with Guests:
Check-in is independent, so your stay stays yours.
We are reachable throughout, before and during your stay, for questions or for suggestions on where to eat, walk or cycle around Bruges and Ghent. A message is enough.
