'It was mouldy all around the windows and in the shower room and the bed sheets were dirty they're covered with dirty all the quilt covers were dirty the mattress was all dirty yellow when they should have been white mattresses the cupboard door was hanging off and there was a hole in this ceiling '

'Brilliant breakfast lovely and freshly made could not fault it . The room we stayed in nice and clean we had a nice peaceful sleep. Parking wasn't a problem plenty of room to park your car. Overall I'd definitely go back again. '

'We only stayed at Storrs Gate House for one night to break a long journey to Scotland but we would have no hesitation in returning for longer to explore the area properly. The accommodation was supremely comfortable, the breakfast was superb and the hosts were wonderfully welcoming. Storrs Gate House is only a short and pleasant stroll from the centre of Bowness but far enough away to be quiet and tranquil. Altogether top notch. Highly recommended. '
