'My friend and I stayed here for 1 night at the beginning of our 6 day tour of Sri Lanka. This place is beautiful, peaceful and quiet and I wished we had stayed longer. The rooms are elevated and there is a walkway to them . My room are spacious, clean, with a seated area and I had a wrap around view of the forest. We ate at the restaurant and the food was amazing. 'Apparently they just opened after being closed for 3 years. They gave us at first a dirty stinky room after a big scene and complaint we finally got the room we booked. Staff barely speaks English. Food choice is very limited, buffet for SriLankan standard is very poor. They tried to force us a Xmas dinner at 40 dollar a person but quality of kitchen is poor, also for the breakfast, no yoghurts. The road towards the place is a disaster and very difficult to reach. 'Amazing experience to be sleeping “outside” and waking up to the sounds of all kinds of animals. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some of the best food we have had in Sri Lanka. Perfect location near both Sigiriya rock as well as pidurangala. We had hired bycicles to explore the surroundings, which I would highly recommend as well!'
