Les receptionnistes peu accueillants. En meme temps il regne une ambiance electrique qui donne envie de se coucher et vite repartir....décevant.... Impression également d etre davantage dans un parc d attractions où tout, meme l acces à la piscine est payant. Je ne recommande pas.

Belle étape
Grand hôtel, donc forcément on croise du monde dans les couloirs ou le hall d'entrée... mais finalement la salle du restaurant n'était pas archi bondée (dîner et petit-déjeuner inclus pour nous). Et pour la piscine, il fallait s'inscrire sur un créneau pour pouvoir en profiter et nous étions quasiment seuls ! Pas de la grande cuisine proposée mais ce n'était pas mauvais. Pour environ 165€ à deux en comptant la nuit, le dîner et le petit-déjeuner et sachant qu'il y a une grande piscine avec toboggan, sauna et bulles, le rapport qualité/prix est très bon !

Nous avions déjà séjourné dans cet établissement . Nous n’avions pas été enchanté . Par contre cette fois ci nous avons beaucoup apprécié cet établissement ,et nous revenons sur notre jugement . Endroit agréable .chambre spacieuse .bonne nourriture . Personnel serviable

Bel environnement à proximité des départs de randonnée mais excentré par rapport au village Chambre familiale exiguë, vue sur les cuisines.Propre; nombreuses activité type "club".(Piscine couverte ....) Très bon restaurant. Excellent petit déjeuner

The hotel is extremely tired and poorly maintained. The carpets are old. The beds are uncomfortable. The staff are disorganised. You have to book to use the pool! The only redeeming factor is the amazing location. However, it's overpriced and we won't be returning

Hmmm ... it was a very nice hotel (in 1965). It has retained some of its characteristics from then until the 90s, but is now a little dated. Location is fine, but with nothing open around it (early May is not peak holiday season) it felt a little isolated. After a 6 hour motorcycle journey, Aviemore itself was just too far away so had to stay in. The evening meal at £25 each felt a bit steep, but the buffet meal was ok. Sweets were limited to a choice of four gateaux (very 80s) or ice cream in a tub. Everywhere was very clean. The pool times were very limiting if you checked in mid-week at 4pm ... it shut at 5pm ... and left at 10am check out it only opened at 9am. The room was clean and the shower was good, but the bath was chipped and the sinks painted coating (? !) was pealing off. The bed was also embarrassingly creaky even just turning over, but comfy enough for a good nights sleep. Overall it was ok for a one night stop over, but not sure it is a four star hotel (anymore).

Check in was straight forward. We turned up and 3 and got offered a pre check in which was great. Then after 4, you go to the side of reception to easily and quickly collect your keys. Staff in all areas were very friendly. We did swimming once which was good. You do have to pre book but we did this with a quick phone call. The slide is open for 20 minutes per session(which is 1 hour). We got pizza and nachos at the Woodhouse which was really good. We never had any other food at the hotel as went in Aviemore for more choice(30 minute walk but there’s also buses). However we did use the bar/lounge area by reception which was good. The room is fine. Yes it’s a bit dated but not to make your stay unpleasant or uncomfortable. The beds are a bit lumpy but didn’t stop us sleeping. Bathroom with bath and shower over was fine. We only really slept and got ready in the room. There was 2 adults and 2 children so the room did what we needed. The only complaint is the room was very hot even with the heating off. I assume this is due to insulation and location for the winter. There is a fan in the room though which helped! Overall we would definitely stay here again as there is loads to do for the kids. Taking into consideration the price for 2 nights(£240), I think this is a bargain considering comparable hotels in the area were about double that price. We have stayed in the Macdonald resort and I think Coylumbridge is better. We are looking forward to returning!

The room definitely needed some upgrading. The headboard was broken and the wallpaper coming off. The toilet seat was stained, and the shower didn’t work properly.

I last stayed here in December 2018 and decided to book again on 25/03/2023 for 1 night as a stopover visiting family whilst travelling down South. There were three of us and we checked in at 930pm. The hotel looked as good as last time when we pulled up. There were a few folk in the lounge as we walked to reception. We were attended to straight away and we received complementary room upgrades (Rooms 214 and 215). Our rooms were clean, tidy and modern. We didn't have dinner or breakfast so I can't comment on that although I did use the gym. There are less machines than I remembered but they were in good working order. The pool was closed for maintenance so I couldn't use it. The hotel seemed very quiet but I was very pleased with the facilities and would definitely come back again.

The staff are brilliant and very professional..unfortunately the standard of the food served has dropped dramatically ..lots of the items on the menu were cold , some looked like they were reheats and in general a huge turn off ...it's a pity because it was very good on previous visits ..any furure visit will not include meals.

We stayed here as we got a great rate through Expedia and it had a swimming pool. . Bed wasn't the most comfortable and we didn't eat there but chose to get pizza from the Italian at the roundabout in Aviemore which we know is good. Can't complain for the money we paid but wouldn't go in it's busy period.

Never been to a hotel with so many rules. Booked the Half board but wasn't allowed to use all the restaurants and the main buffet was limited and of average quality. Adults MUST be in the pool with the kids, even though mine are competent swimmers I wasn't allowed to sit at the side of the pool whilst they swam. The Funhouse is good, but the Bowling Alley was damaged and closed as were a few of the games. But there is no entry after 5pm. I stayed at the hotel as my kids are bored at night in hotels and thought this entertainment of Pool, Table Tennis, Bowling, Arcades would be ideal but I couldn't use it any evening. Breakfast was really good. Overall I would not recommend this for familes, unless you are going to remain in the hotel all day. Really could be a special place that I would return to often with my kids, but they ruined it all with the lack of access.

Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. Great location for getting out and about. The reception and lounge/bar area of the hotel is very nice, and the staff were very friendly. 15 minutes to check in so ok. Rooms were dated in the Annex part where we stayed, and one of our rooms smelt of cigarette smoke. Overall our stay was ok.

Good low cost option
The biggest thing going for the hotel these days is the location which is wonderful. It is now a low end and low cost Hotel so expect that to be reflected in the decor , room comforts , and so on. Nice bar area , easy parking ( at the rear , not the front ). Set your expectation at the right level and you not be disappointed.

Good pet friendly place
Check in was really busy and had a long wait. Pet friendly was really good. Room was ok but carpet and walls could do with some repair/replacement.
