This was our first time doing a bnb stay like this and it was a great experience. We had our kids with us and they loved the place as well. The Cabin was very spacious, clean and feel-at-home. Everything described on profile was true to their word and exceeded our expectations. Ease of entry and exit went smoothly and we.d recommend this to our friends and family.
There were bugs of every size and kind throughout the house. Kitchen counter was covered with ants. Spiders, roaches, and beetles in house. If you want a comfortable bed and sleeping experience, don't stay here. Bed totally uncomfortable and collapses in the middle and the train horn blasts pretty much every hour on the hour. Walkway was not lit when we arrived our first night and no porch light. Advert on VRBO does not depict a true description of the property. We do not recommend.
The place was great. There were extra measures taken to ensure privacy since this VRBO is in a person's backyard. However, there were many broken/cracked places in the flooring tile. It was clear a lot of DIY work had been done on the electrical and plumbing pieces of the house. Also, trains went by in the evening about every hour to hour and half, all night. It would have been good to know that prior to and I could have made better arrangements to sleep.
The first impression of walking onto the property was a bad feeling. This was a back building in a residential neighborhood, no cabin at all like it was told as being. The yard as you walked through to get to the house was very poorly maintained. Yard lights were laying on the ground from falling down that clearly you could tell were down for some time. Out of the 124 bulbs on the lights, 20 of them worked. Patio cushions were so poor and dirty and missing I would have thrown them away years ago. Lawn overgrown and poorly maintained. Old mop in the bushes. Vines had grown over the sidewalk to the house, so you had to duck down or step off the sidewalk to get around overgrown vines. A very unwelcome feel so far. The inside was not all that pleasing either. Not 1 curtain on any window, just the cheapest shades you could buy. None would even open up except 1 halfway. Window by door had nothing so I had to use paper towels to cover up for the nighttime. No real table to sit down and eat at except an island that I suppose was for a table. Just 1 couch to sit at in the living room area. Very uncomfortable to sit because you needed multiple cushions behind your back to sit right. Tile floor was so scuffed up that I wasn't sure if it was even clean or not. The tile also was busted up near the kitchen area that they had a rug to cover that up. Main bed was super uncomfortable. No privacy curtains in bedroom, able to see through. Toilet paper covered edges of shade. Rated this bnb a 1
We booked this Casita in addition to the main house to accommodate our larger family. We enjoyed the privacy and coziness of both listings and would highly recommend. The host was quick to respond to all of our questions.
This cabin was perfect for me since I was here for the Texas Womenâs Disc Golf Championship at Old Settlers park (less than 10 minutes away) It was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed for a great weekend. Thanks for hosting. Hope to visit again!
My husband and I elected to rent the Casita while my son's family stayed in the larger home, and we are delighted to report that we made an excellent decision. We loved having our own place and being on our own (much earlier!) schedule, while also enjoying the proximity of family and the ease of being together. Our 2 year old granddaughter loved the outdoor playground equipment situated between the two residences, and we loved watching her have fun. The Casita is absolutely lovely: it has all of the amenities one would expect, including a very large well-placed TV screen, a newly updated contemporary bathroom, and a lovely gathering place with chairs and lights (for ambience) outside. The furniture in the bedroom is what I would call Spanish, perfectly matching the flair of the Casita with its colorful Mexican floor tiles and kitchen design. Overall, the place felt surprisingly large, especially the living area and the kitchen, though the bedroom and the bathroom are spacious too. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything you'll need for a wonderful retreat and/or vacation. I highly recommend this casita!
