We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this location. Itâs within walking distance to Congress Street establishments. There were plenty of places to go and activities to do.
Our family loved this. The property was awesome. There is lots of room for everyone. There is a lot of cool stuff on the walls and collections to look at. We love the outdoor yard space. There are limited cooking supplies, but I was thrilled to see a tea kettle. We love the location and we would definitely come back the next time we visit Austin!!!!.
Great home that was close to everything we came for. Loved sitting outside in a private yard. Lots of dishes. We needed some supplies like foil and plastic wrap. Each room had its own bathroom which was wonderful.
There are a few maintenance issues that need addressing including towel racks coming lose off the wall upstairs, coffee maker would only work making half a pot and downstairs bedroom door handle needs addressing as it was a struggle to open the door. Would suggest that a mirror be put in that room as well.
Our group of friends all flew in for some time together to celebrate 30 years of friendship. It was a great place to sit and chat in the living room and it was nice that we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The bed linens were super comfy and the house was interesting and we enjoyed all the artwork. This is definitely a quirky old place so if you donât love that, itâs not the right place! But it was perfect for us and the location couldnât be beat. Easy walking to shops and restaurants. If only we hadnât visited during a winter storm it would have been absolutely perfect.
We rent properties for short stays in Austin fairly frequently, and this was by far one the best places we have stayed. Our group included 2 adults and 3 teens/young adults. There was ample space for all, and a fun outdoor area to enjoy when 2 other family members joined us for a visit. The house has a very cool vibe, was immaculate and the pictures are very accurate. We were literally 1 block from S. Congress, so it was easy to walk to where a lot of the local action is. But it was surprisingly quiet - never was disturbed by late night noise. We definitely recommend this fun house for a family or friend get-together!
It was a great place to stay. Location was perfect. Wish that the beds were a little less squeaky. The spiders were unwelcome guests but thatâs understandable.
Overall, great place to stay.
Loved the space to spread out & the eclectic design. Our only suggestion is that the primary mattress be replaced annd lowered. Otherwise we had a great time & the location doesnât get any better! Loved walking to shops & restaurants.
Great location! Lots of restaurants and shopping a block away. Parking for 2 cars in driveway. Master bedroom bed is very high. Luckily, there are stools for climbing in. 3 bedrooms and a pull out couch in a loft. 3 bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked. Lots of art and knick knacks to look at. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks so much
Iconic house with lots of character! Nice quiet neighborhood, but right next to the very happening South Congress neighborhood, with bars, restaurants & some of the top music venues in Austin. Weâll be back!
The house was in a great location for South Congress and downtown. We loved all the curios, prints and paintings. The beds were comfortable and the linens super comfy. A few suggestions: we think the upstairs bathroom in the hall was totally missed for household cleaning. The toilet seat was loose. There was no toilet paper and no vanity kit that was in all the others. We wished there had beef tissues in the bathrooms. The top step was loose on the stairs. We wish there had been a standing light in the living room. The overhead lights were a little bright. However, we would still highly recommend this place to stay in and would definitely stay there again ourselves.
Our groups of girls enjoyed our stay immensely. Everything about the house was wonderful - it was cute, clean, comfortable, well equipped, eclectically decorated, so much room to spread out. The location couldnât be beat. Thank goodness for its own driveway. Management company was accommodating too when we asked for early check in and later checkout. Weâd definitely recommend a stay here!
It was my sisterâs 60th & my daughterâs 21st birthday celebration. The location was EXCELLENT. Short short walk to everywhere and the parking in driveway was one of the best thing about the house since you had to pay for parking EVERYWHERE in Austin which we were not aware. House had everything we need but we didnât need much since we did not spend much time there. One thing, one of the beds in the bedroom is extremely high. We had no kids of elderly or that would have been a problem as it was quite and effort to state nicely to get in and out of that that especially in the middle of the night. Great VRBO experience.
Fabulous everything; Location, Space, Decor, Abundance of pillows, blankets, kitchen supplies and just pure neat cool things. Loved the outside space and how original all of the decor was. I wanted to stay one more day, one more week. I would charge a bit more and add a tv upstairs in the main room. Our boys sort of hogged the tv downstairs. My husband slept in a separate room because our bed was too high for him. He said it was comfortable but squeaked a lot. Maybe upgrade the mattress? Overall we loved it and will come back for sure. I have already spread the word with my pictures on Facebook and two of my friends are going to books soon.. LOL. ! Fantastic and kudos to the owners and all of their hard work on making this house a true GEM!!!!
