Deserves waaaayyyy more than 5 stars!!

As an early 50th wedding anniversary gift for our former-farmer parents, my sister and I booked us all a stay at the Arena farmhouse. Everyone in our party LOVED the property and couldn't stop talking about how INCREDIBLY kind, welcoming, helpful, and responsive the hosts were! Do not hesitate; book your reservation now! You won't regret it, and it's a short drive to great restaurants (Hi Point was a high point and a recommendation from one of the hosts!) and area attractions (e.g., House on the Rock, Taliesin, etc.).

Large Spacious but cozy farmhouse with great people

My aduly son and I really enjoyed our stay. Was really nice talking with Matt, Tom and Diane. I will try some rock picking next time. The home is spacious beautiful and cozy. Near good restaurants and bars and made for a wonderful place to stay while we did day kayaking.

Fantastic peaceful getaway. Gorgeous views, spacious property, comfy beds, and so many games to play! Everyone loved it including the dog. The host was helpful and left us beautiful welcome flowers, a card, and farm fresh eggs that were so delicious. We hope to come back soon!

Peaceful Rural Location

Our 2nd stay was just as great as the 1st. The location is so peaceful and quiet. Terrific for walks. Our dog loves playing ball in the large fenced in backyard.The house is clean, spacious and very well equipped. The owner is very friendly and responsive.We will be back!

Very peaceful and serene

Nice property, fully stocked. As it is a working farm, we ran into the owners on several occasions while walking our dog. They were extremely friendly and welcoming. Huge house with plenty of room for families. Close to nearby attractions - House on the Rock, Frank Lloyd Wrights home and the Cave on the Mounds. Only drawback was the local restaurant scene, with serveral closed or offering limited menus during our stay.

Ideal Definition of "Quaint"

If you can picture the word "quaint", this location would exemplify that mental image. The house was spacious and very clean - the host even left us a surprise gift in the fridge to welcome us! The location is a bit off the beaten track, but we knew that going into it and appreciated the seclusion. With this only being 20 minutes away from major area attractions like Cave of the Mounds, House on the Rock, and Governor Dodge State Park, you're far enough away to avoid the everyday hustle and bustle of the city but still close enough to enjoy everything the "Driftless" region has to offer. I would highly recommend this property for any family that is wanting to visit the area for it's attractions or (as we did) a bit of "glamping" at one of the state parks.

Our stay was wonderful! The house had perfect accommodations for the 5 of us with room for several more! It contained ALL of the conveniences of home along with great water pressure in the showers, easy access to areas adventures, and very friendly hostess! Aside from a thoughtful welcome gift, she left us theee most beautiful and sweet tasting strawberries! LOVED THE EXPERIENCE and will definitely keep the reference for future stays in the area.

Fabulous farm stay

Lots of fluffy pillows and towels, fenced dog yard is much larger than photos show and is adjacent to sport court so you can play tennis while the dogs play. Very friendly hosts even offered tractor rides. Organic crop farm with horses and goat in pen beside laneway. Very peaceful, plenty of space for dining or lounging. Lots of games, toys for the dogs, even dog dishes to use - thoughtful amenities for a comfortable stay. Not fussy modern, just comfortable and clean - perfect.

Awesome property!

This property is truly awesome! The fenced in yard is worth its weight in gold, our dogs had a blast. It was very clean and well taken care of, the location was also gorgeous. Hosts had fantastic communication and went out of their way to make us feel at home. We will certainly be back!

Perfect for a small family gathering

This lovely home met the needs of 3 generations...and two dogs. House was very clean and welcoming...I loved the personalized note left by the owners! Thank you for the farm lesson you gave to our two grandsons. They talked about it the rest of the visit. Plenty of room for together and alone time. Great Time on the Farm

This property is wonderful. The house is roomy, clean and comfortable. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen is well equipped. We also used the gas grill outside. The fenced large backyard was perfect for our dog, and we enjoyed sitting on the patio. It was a pleasure to be in the country, and fun to be up close to farm life. A field was being worked and planted during our stay. The family members are engaging and helpful. The Driftless Area is beautiful with a variety of things to see and do. The welcome book in the house contains a lot of good info. We will definitely return for another stay at the farm!

Close to Tyrol Basin

My family of 5 stayed here for a ski race at Tyrol Basin. The property was so clean! There were lots of toys and fun games in the garage. There was plenty of room and my girls loved seeing the horses on the property. Would highly reccommend!

Lovely stay on a working farm!

My family of four (and dog) stayed at this property for a weekend as a base for visiting some of the area attractions, including The House on the Rock. The property is on a beautiful working farm, it was spotlessly clean, and the owner added several really thoughtful added touches, such as a great binder of local restaurants and things to do, dog treats, and a special treat from the farm. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with all we needed to cook, and the best part of the property was its large, fenced-in yard for our pup to run around. The owner was so responsive and helpful; we got a rare treat when the owner’s father stopped by and showed our son all the farm equipment. Would definitely return and highly recommend!

Beautiful farm getaway

Very well kept house on a farm with lots for the kids to do... there is a tennis court, large lawn, fire pit and fireflies! My kids loved meeting the goats and horses and very nice family that runs the farm.
