Great location.
The location was great, but the unit was a bit disappointing. Bedrooms very small, cramped. Linens and pillows not so nice. Good towels, but no hand towels. Kitchen was was nice but dishes, towels , glasses and utensils were in short supply.

Great location for families
Really enjoyed our stay and loved the proximity to the beach and the deck space. Communication with the owner was very good. We weren’t left many towels by the cleaner and she took care of it right away, which we appreciated. I would suggest replacing all the sheets and bath towels - they were older and worn and new ones would be nice. Also suggest having the cleaners check the grill - it needed a really good scrubbing before we could use it. We’d stay here again!

Fabulous house near the beach
My husband and 2 teens and dog and I had a fantastic stay at this house. It’s very close to the beach, has everything you could need, and is quiet and comfortable. A great value for this amazing neighborhood! We’d love to come back soon.

Just what we needed
We needed a beach getaway that was easy and stress free. The house had easy parking, clean bathrooms, and was a 2 min walk to the beach. We drove easily to vineyards, other beaches, yummy BBQ, farms, and a children's marine discovery center. Many of the places we explored were at the recommendation of the owner provided ahead of the trip. Thank you for that! Our only issue was that the kid's room got very cold at night even when we ran the heat downstairs...didn't see any vents in that room itself so that is probably why. Wasn't a big deal.

Wonderful Family Break
This was a SUPERB coastal stay throughout! Family and dog friendly. The host (Myriam) was very nice and easy to communicate. We enjoyed the recommendations to explore this area and our children enjoyed eating at Pixie Deli, taking strolls by the nearby beach and hiking at the local state parks. My Family and Pup loved it and can't wait to go back. Thank you!!

Home away from home
My husband and I come quite often to visit our daughter and grandson in Santa Cruz. We have stayed in many VRBO properties and this one was one of the best. Very clean, comfortable king bed, kitchen with all the necessary dishes, etc. for cooking meals, and a great location. Can walk to a beautiful beach and a quick drive to Santa Cruz.

Lovely little house near the beach
We picked this house for its proximity to the beach. The neighborhood it’s in is full of little beach bungalows. You can’t quite see the beach from the house, but it’s literally just around the corner. It seemed like the house would be noisy, given its busy location, but it was very quiet and peaceful inside. There are two small but comfy bedrooms downstairs, along with a very well-equipped (lots and lots of towels!) shared bathroom. Upstairs is an open living room/dining room/kitchen combo and a half bath with washer and dryer. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the dining table was roomy. A comfortable sofa and arm chair made the living room a good place to hang out. Some books and games are provided. There were TVs in the living room and master—we didn’t use them, but I think they’d be good for rainy days. The upstairs deck was a great place to sit under the umbrella with a glass of wine and enjoy the neighborhood. Finally, we communicated with the owner a couple of times and found her to be quick to respond and very helpful. I highly recommend this home!

This house was perfect for our weekend away to celebrate our son's 26th birthday. 4 adults very comfortable. Close to plenty to do, see, eat, and walk. 2 blocks to beach is a huge bonus. We will rent this again when we only need 2 bedrooms. I appreciated the owner's timely responses to my emails.

Comfortable house, steps from the beach.
My friend and I (and her little dog) had a three-day mini-vacation at this lovely beach house. The place was spotless, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked, the living area is cozy, and it is in a very quiet area. A huge bonus is the proximity to the beach, which is two short blocks away. In short, it has. everything one could wish for in a vacation rental.

Presents even better in person!
Such a fabulous beach house! My family of 4 (including 2 teens) all had a great time and were able to spread out after our day at the beach. The rental actually looks better in person- very clean and well stocked. There were even birthday candles there...no detail was overlooked. Though it was a busy week with spring break, with all surrounding rentals occupied, it was very quiet and serene. The price is very reasonable and so much better than staying a hotel. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed this place. It was walking distance to the beach coffee shop. For future vacationers, more comfortable beds in the second bedroom and more kitchen items such as bowls, glasses, and sharp knives would be good.

Great place, great host!
This place is exactly as advertised. It's a charming place, well-appointed, and practically steps from the beach. The host was always super helpful and communicative. She even had an extensive house binder that contained a ton of information that was easy and fun to read about many attractions and eateries nearby. We'll be back again, for certain!

If I would change anything, I would say that the living room could really use a coffee table, but I moved the small round table over to the couch so that I had a table. Everything was great, thank you.

Steps to the beach! AMAZING STAY!
What a lovely spot! We had such a great time here! You are literally a block away from the beach, a huge deck -- absolutely charming. The host is extremely responsive as well. There is also an outlet right next to the parking spot which was extremely helpful to us as we have an electric vehicle. There is a small market a block away (think 7/11 style) or a larger grocery store that's 1-2 miles away. Would definitely stay here again.

Enchanting and Cozy!
Myrian, Our stay was amazing! It was a two minute walk to the beach, neighborhood market, fine dinning, coffee specialties, with the relaxing sound of the ocean waves 24/7. The king size bed was very, very comfortable. The bunk beds were comfy also! This apartment had everything we needed. Great cable, a plethora of movies, etc. ***Easy access to the freeway for so many bright spots to visit. ***Thank you, for checking on us to be sure everything was running ***smooth. WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Lovely get away
Myriam's property is the perfect spot for a quick family get-away. Well-situated just a few flat blocks from the beach, there is a coffeeshop, delicious deli with great selections and a cafe restaurant with outdoor seating within those blocks as well. You don't even need take-out if not wanted, the kitchen is well stocked, and we made use of the BBQ on the deck. Having the bedrooms downstairs was great as both kids were able to have a private space to do their zoom school calls while we were upstairs. Quick beach walks over lunch made their day! I can't say enough good things about it!! Parking and access was easy, having two bathrooms (one on each floor) was perfect for our family of four. We loved the supplied books and games (we got hooked on banana grams!). It was nice having a t.v. in the master and Netflix made it easy for us to find something to watch upstairs that we could all agree on. We loved having the deck - I had a zoom meeting one morning and sat at the picnic table watching the world go by, and then we had our Pixie's deli lunch there after. The umbrella was awesome because we had a hot weekend, and it allowed us to hang out on the deck out of the direct sun! The bright colors, beautiful wood floors and decorator touches really made it lively and beachy (my daughter said it put out good vibes!). We loved having a King bed in the master, and the girls enjoyed their bunks and the barn door for their bedroom. My daughter liked the extra space from the top bunk for storage. She even put her suitcase up there! There is neat unique space under the stairs "Harry Potter closet" where another child or even adult could sleep or play! The space is used very well and everything is super clean - they even had a vitamix blender! Myriam is clearly a lovely and friendly person, my communication with her was easy and wonderful. She has been helping Santa Cruz fire evacuees, offering her house for those who have been displaced. I can't recommend this rental enough, and we are hoping that we can go back soon!

Lovely place to relax
This is a great house in a very nice location. The living area was roomy, bright, and comfortable. Everything was very clean and comfy. As advertised, it is a super easy walk to the beach, and very short drives to Capitola and Santa Cruz. Myriam was very friendly, accommodating, and responsive. Wonderfully relaxing holiday!
The beach house is as described - bright, well equipped and very comfortable. Myriam was very easy and pleasant to communicate with, responding very promptly to any inquiries we had. The location of the beach house is excellent for wonderful beach walks and exploring the magnificent redwood forest state parks and beautiful coastal areas like Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur and near by Capitola. We enjoyed our two weeks of holiday and would happily return again.

Another great stay at Coast Queen
This was our 4th stay here. As always it was clean and well equipped for everything needed. Having a washer and dryer makes packing light a dream! Myriam is always attentive and quick to communicate when needed. We love staying here for our annual family picnic at Seacliff State Park. It’s an easy walk. Plus many restaurants to chose from and a great Safeway a short drive away. I plan on coming back again.

Needs some updates
Downstairs smells moldy in the queen bedroom. Bunk bedroom is a dark hole. (I slept on the coach and gave my friend the queen bed.) Bedroom blinds are broken. Bathroom towel rack broken. No toiletries like a small bar of soap provided. The vent hood in bathroom moldy/dusty. Upstairs furniture needs some spot cleaning. Kitchen is well equipped. Deck nice for sitting outdoors. But the view is only a hotel. Walk a block to the beach is a plus! Hosts replied promptly to WiFi issues. TV cable news and Netflix froze several times and everything needed to be unplugged to fix. (Frustrating by the 3rd time.)

I appreciated you letting me know about the blinds - they had not been broken the week before, and I ordered new ones the day you told me. Same with the bathroom towel rack - fixed, and thanks for letting me know. I have not heard about the king bedroom smelling bad before and it does not have an odor that I can detect. I'll have the cleaners take a look at the vent hood, as this is not something we have noticed.

Fantastic beach house at Rio Del Mar in Aptos
This is our second stay at this beach house, and we plan to come back again. We love how clean and orderly the house is kept. The owners keep it up very well. It has a wonderful outside deck with a bbq and lounge chairs. It is only a 2 minute walk to our favorite beach, Rio Del Mar. Highly recommended!

Great for a small family
This is a cute little place that is great for a small family. The owners are wonderful and responsive to questions. It has great appliances and a well stocked kitchen for making all your family meals on vacation. A very short (and flat) walk to the beach is definitely a plus for us with kids!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Good location (loved beach access and convenience of local restaurants, not crazy about motel across the street), comfortable accommodations. Only issue we had - downstairs bathroom light did not work.

Glad you enjoyed your stay! Yes, the bathroom light is tricky - there's a reset button on the outlet in the bathroom. We have the directions on how to fix it in our red binder, but I'm realizing it'd be helpful to have it posted in the bathroom as well. Thanks for the feedback.

Very cute house!!!
The house was very clean and perfect for my family of 4. The location was great. Santa Cruz and Capitola are right there. Close to Monterey and the Pacific Coast Hwy. San Francisco is a tolerable drive away. The house has everything you need and more. We will definitely try to stay there again if we make another trip that way. Thanks again to the owners for allowing us to stay there!!!!
