'Great location with bonus of Highland cattle right outside. Lodges looked tired, especially the outside. Need a paint job, some weeding and a few flowers outside would make all the difference. Beds comfy and lodge pretty well equipped. Overall, a nice stay but could be better.'

'Comfortable room, needing a bit of TLC but met with expectations. Breakfast was tasty but a bit over priced. Good location - walkable to coast and station - with 25mins train into Edinburgh. The stay worked perfectly well for a family - 2 adults with 2 boys (11 and 9)'

'The property is situated near North Berwick and has beautiful gardens. The building itself is a bit tired. Our room was disappointing for the grade of hotel. Coffee facilities were basis (one packet of two pieces of shortbread to share!). The cooked breakfast was lovely but the continental selection was very poor compared to similar hotels and given that one of the main selling points of the hotel is the Chez Roux restaurant.
