This is a bright, roomy, well maintained and modern townhouse. It was well stocked and spotlessly clean.It was easy to get to and within easy walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, local shopping and the Alaska Rail Road depot (two blocks downhill from the property). The property is about 1 block from one end of the Coastal Trail.Host Carolyn was terrific from start to finish, we couldn't ask for more. She was very helpful and responsive with local information to help in our planning, a schedule change we had to make, and a couple questions after arrival.We would absolutely stay here again!

Condo was beautiful and spotless. We had access to garage to store our rental car. The kitchen and living area and half bath on second floor were well furnished and open. The bedrooms, large closets on third floor were roomy and well furnished. The host responded to questions quickly. The binder of instructions and helpful information was great too!

Really enjoyed this property! It’s convenient walking distance to everything downtown, the train station, walking trail, and dangerously close to 49th state brewing which ate into our wallets! The on property bikes were a nice touch and we also appreciated the toiletries, laundry supplies, and coffee so we didn’t have to do a grocery store run. Keep in mind this is a townhome so there are 2 longer flights of stairs and you may hear a little construction/train noise, but the host provided ear plugs and fans which was a huge help.

Lovely Stay

Our host Carolyn was amazingly responsive in answering questions, helping us figure out our payments, and making sure we had everything we needed. This was a really cozy and quiet place to stay and watch the snow fall over the balcony. We walked to restaurants everyday and explored the coastal trail one evening. Everything was comfortable, spotless, and easy to find.

I have only wonderful things to say about this property and the host! While there, towards the end of our stay I even consciously gave thought to what notes I might provide and not one came to mind. The house is in a beautiful forest location. We saw a fox, deer and fawn and so many beautiful birds. The woodpeckers would make their appearances every morning. The description of the property was spot on. We enjoyed each and every amenity! Our favorite was the patio gazebo where we spent time drinking morning coffee and having slow precious moments with our grown children and grandchildren! This home has everything you would have at home. The kitchen was stocked with everything and anything you would need for making any meal! Thank you host!

A good property, but still needs improvement in managing it

My friend and I stayed here for several days after a cruise, to finish off our vacation. We did like the property, but soon realized that not everything was to hotel standards, and management would benefit if they treated this like a hotel. Considering the rental services do not hold any owner to universal standards, we need to either lower our expectations, or be more diligent about ensuring the home is properly kept up BEFORE we arrive. Pros: 1. Location is good - NE corner of the downtown area, so it is great point to start hikes and exploring Anchorage 2. Property is young and modern - One of the better properties in the area for condition, amenities, and BR:Bathroom ratio 3. Technology - Digital locks made access simple, streaming services on the TVs were pretty expansive, and decent WiFi function 4. Host communications - She supplied her cell number and communications with her were met with fairly prompt responses Cons: 1. Communications were not consistent/accurate - I had reached out to the host about the check-in process and was told it was already sent in the registration confirmation, but it was not; she then sent me instructions and it referred to an app with no name (there was literally a blank space where the name should have been) to check in, but I was given the lock code anyway and to refer to the 'binder'; even the VRBO app did not have any check in function 2. Loss of time - The host asked when we were checking in, so I thought she was going to let us in early, but it was to ask if we could check in later, by an hour, because the cleaner needed more time; there was no offer of compensation for us losing that check-in time 3. Cleaning - We had given them the extra time the cleaner needed (we checked in 1.5 hours after check-in time), it still was not fully cleaned; the trash had not been taken out, there were significant crumbs in the couch cushions that I cleaned up, and the fridge was pretty filthy (crumbs, spilled substances in the fridge and freezer sections); this could have been avoided with an inspection 4. The owners still had access to the property - There were signs throughout the house with specific instructions which were helpful, but there was also one that stated that the owners may come into the garage to access it and pick up pacakges; I found that odd and not confortable that I may hear things in the garage at any time 5. Location - The train yard is next to the property, so there is constant noise

Excellent location

The condo was just as described in the listing. Location was easy walking distance to a number of restaurants and events. The unit was very clean and organized. The only slight negative is if your sensitive to noise, the primary bedroom receives the noise from the railroad. There are ear plugs provide should one wished to use them. Would definitely stay on this property again.

Great location for downtown activities!

My friends and I went to Anchorage a few days ahead of our Alaskan Cruise and highly recommend this cute little condo. It’s a short walk uphill to the downtown area where you can get your fill of food, drinks and shopping in town. The condo was in a perfect spot for various walking trails as well as the train depot if needed. Would love go back to Alaska and stay here again!
