In the morning on request freshly baken croissants or oatmeal During the evenings we used the DVD service for free. You can pick one and play a movie in the room.'

'Our room was on ground floor with a hot tub. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Some elements were a little tired. Staff were outstanding and responsive to all requests and questions. Nice dining area and presentation. Great central location to Grasmere village. Our only issue is that parking can be a lottery - but staff were happy to help.'

'We had a brilliant stay at Melrose B&B. Our room was immaculate and had everything we needed. Staff were very helpful and parking was provided. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the food was excellent. We would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning'
