This beautiful Island, is on a back water at sidapura village, in front of The Rappa, a beautiful nature camp in Hassan district, Karnataka. Using the kayak of the camp we can reach the island. Or if the water resides, can walk to the island.. #nature #travel #landscape #island #Karnataka #India
This is day to day work of most of the villagers at sidapura. They work and cultivate the land regardless the hot sun over their heads.. Still use the old way of using cows for plowing and hands for planting the seeds.. The water from the dams back water had dried up and they had to use pumps to retrieve water for the banks which was 500mts away.. This is one of my favorite places to visit, as there is always something new to photograph from the same location.. Last time this same place was filled with water and had to kayak to the island, and now we could walk to it.. #nature #travel #Karnataka #India #culture #people #villagelife #farming #incredibleindia

Can’t say enough good things about Rosetta, its excellent staff and superior food and ambience. Nestled amidst a 100 acre coffee estate, this resort has high standards in guest experiences. Amazing. Calm and serene feeling. Loved the stay. Let’s you disconnect completely and embrace nature. But there’s limited to no internet in the facility and only a common television. So for those who come here expecting tv and WiFi will be in for a surprise.

The Rosary Church is a fine example of Gothic Architecture. Built in the 1860s by the French Missionaries, and abandoned in 1960 after the construction of the Hemavati Dam. This beautiful church has stood the test of times. During the monsoon season, it is usually submerged in water.

What a way to spend early morning hours.. Nothing is better than having to see such a beautiful landscape and magic of sunlight playing hide and seek with light and shadow. This particular bridge where I was standing and taking pictures is a spot where I can see both sunrise and sunset on one spot.. This is the west side.
