Blokhutten in Almond

'The outside of the property was grown up and needed cutting. The railing on the steps was loose. Thankfully it was only a few steps. The back deck was nice in that it overlooked the river, but the flooring was very dirty, and there were spiderwebs and such everywhere. Weeds growing through railing and we kept waiting for wildlife (not the cute cuddly kind) to join us when we were sitting out there. The inside was okay mostly. Nothing was nasty, but there were a couple of issues. There was...

'We loved the Tiny House. It was exactly what we needed after a day of rafting the Nantahala river.'

'The cabin was great, it is a bit weird how the numbers are on the buildings so it can make it hard to locate which cabin your looking for. Overall we liked our stay here. I would come here again for sure. Beautiful location.'

'For context my wife and I have three kids aged 2, 5, and 7. We aren’t worried and the two oldest finding the shortest and fastest way down a mountain as we are the two year old. All screen doors leading into the cabin have locks. The screened in porch has locks. The porch entrances can be closed off. The side yard is fully enclosed. Every trip either my wife or I would have to hover around him, and it was nice to know he could not leave on his own accord. We were actually able to relax together...

'We had a wonderful stay. Everything you could need was available and it was very clean. Really enjoyed the back porch sitting enjoying nature listening to all the sounds and just enjoying playing cards and talking with those that were with me.'

'It was a great property with an amazing view…just not enough outdoor solid seating. There was an older rocking chair and a hanging bench that I wouldn’t trust to sit in and 2 chairs by the hot tub that were kind of rough too. The 2 stools were decent but not comfortable for a long time.'

'The cabin was so cute! Just the right size for my husband and I. The recliner was a plus to put our feet up and the king bed was great. So many cabins we looked at only had doubles and queens which doesn't work for a tall ex football player. The kitchen was well stocked even though we didn't do any cooking. Highly recommend for your trip to the area.'

'We will be back! Perfect little spot! Loved the creek access. Very clean!Loved the firepit, the porch, the deck, and the beds were so comfy!'

'Comfortable, peaceful. Host was responsive to take care of a few issues.'
