We were really looking forward to our stay in San Eugenio Alto and booked for 28 nights.Communications with Nadine were without any problems. The apartment itself was, in the main, fine. We did have an issue with insects on the wooden worktops in the kitchen and the cupboards above. However, this was cleared up with regular use of disinfectant wipes. The views from the balconies were excellent.The bedrooms were a good size although the second bedroom had both a double size bed and a bunk bed in it, which made it a bit tight to move around?All in all, no real problems. However, the real issue came with access to the apartment.From the road outside the campus, access was down a steep hill and then up steep steps to the apartment. These steps have no handrail on the lower half (that lead up to the neighbours apartment) and that makes it very awkward to get up, especially with a loaded suitcase. The second part of the staircase has a handrail and this helps somewhat. The real issue is when leaving the apartment to go out or coming back with shopping. The hill is formidable, especially the last part up towards the entry/exit gate. We are not young and found this very off-putting when considering going out. We couldn’t face the climb several times a day. You can drive in, if you have a car but you cannot park there, you have to find a space on the street to park. There was always somewhere to park on the street. Turning the car around at the bottom was often obstructed.
