'As always I was very open minded about staying here, thought it might be overly pretentious but I was very pleasantly surprised, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The grounds are very well taken care of, even in winter, the hotel is spotlessly clean and so are the rooms, which are nice and spacious. 'Property was nice enough, location good and the pub opposite was lovely. The company that run the property though are terrible. Sykes Cottages trying to scam us out of money for property damage that is unreasonable and without evidence. They send a message via their website that has no way of responding to except for Whatsapp. But no one monitors or replies via whatsapp. '

'Room immaculate. Well appointed. Breakfast choices varied and well cooked. The Whistle Stop Cafe is below the rooms and the food is excellent. Great atmosphere. Carla and her team are very welcoming and friendly. I thoroughly recommend a stay at The Station Guest House.'

'The staff were welcoming and accommodated a midnight check-in with no issues. The hotel is warm and inviting with modern amenities and well presented especially with origins from the 15th century!! Excellent friendly service and perfect location, right on a main shopping and dining thoroughfare also within a few mins walk to the train station. Highly recommend! '

'Lovely hosts and a very generous cooked breakfast with quality ingredients and big pot of tea plus lots of toast! Room was very spacious and comfortable with a balcony for warmer weather - lovely views to the other side. Decor is somewhat dated and bathroom could do with update but everything scrupulously clean, loads of hot water and everything very comfortable. Could not have asked for more.'

'Toen we aankwamen was er niemand (21:30 uur) en toen we in de ochtend weggingen hebben we ook niemand gezien. Alles heel onpersoonlijk. Het ontbijt wordt pas vanaf 9:00 uur geserveerd. Dat was voor ons veel te laat. Weer een B&B met alleen een Bed en geen Breakfast.'
