The Carriage House was a wonderful place to stay. A nice balance between old antique home with modern luxuries. Very clean and quite comfortable upstairs and downstairs. The yard, and garden was very pretty and well kept. Fresh cut flowers from the garden were thoughtfully placed in vases throughout the house. Isaac was a wonderful host, and answered our questions by message in a timely manner. Both the upstairs and downstairs kitchen had everything you would need to cook for yourself, even a small dishwasher disguised as part of the kitchen cupboard. There were also many shops within walking distance.

This was such a lovely place!! So cozy and inviting. The perfect location for walking everywhere downtown. The garden was amazing, even so early in the spring, and the bed was super comfortable! And there is nothing like the sound of a train rolling through. We loved every second of it!

We had a fabulous stay at the Carriage House. We stayed upstairs and our friends stayed downstairs. It was a beautiful house, decorated nicely with everything you would need/want for a 5 day stay. The gardens were stunning. We walked to all the restaurants, shopped downtown. Biked on the VA creeper trail. Fantastic weekend!!

Enchanting Property

The Carriage House was perfect for our stay in Abingdon. Two separate living spaces, including two kitchens, was ideal for two couples traveling together. The garden and grounds are spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the small courtyard before dinner each night.

We had the most delightful stay at the Carriage House! The beautifully appointed cottage was everything we had hoped it woud be and more! The location was fantastic, the beds were incredibly comfortable, the house was immaculate and there was plenty of space to spread out. Gourmet coffee was provided and there was even a bottle of champagne and chilled glasses in the fridge. We stayed in December and the house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We look forward to staying here again and will recommend it to our friends!

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Carriage House. The owner was very accommodating and very quick to answer any questions we had.. The home was very nice, clean and cute. There was even a woodland Christmas tree that was so cute. The location was perfect and easily walkable to all the restaurants, stores and theater. We would not hesitate to stay with this host again.
