The Hawthorne area is quaint and loaded with dining and shopping options; while streets are busy it is quite walkable, and not far from gorgeous areas like Mt. Tabor Park. 'Very close walk to the Alberta Rose theater and the many restaurants on the Main Street of Alberta. The only problem we had was getting in initially. The owner gave us a code for VRBO rather than Expedia which we had booked through. Fortunately she was home and came right over. It is a little difficult to find since the cottage is in the back of the address. From the photo, I remembered a large star on the front of the cottage and noticed a much smaller star on the fence at the alley...
